Rowlett's Revenge wasn't Brandon Rowletts gun.

It was a Nomad Prototype Turret, if you select the floating thing in space it appears as that, yet on scanners and inventory its Rowletts Revenge.

Which of course, doesn't make sense, since at that point of the game we don't know about Nomads yet.

Probably a glitch, if not... meh.

No, its an easter egg, it makes perfect sense.

Just as the fact that in Half Life there's a chumtoad in your locker. You could say the same about Nomad Prototypes, since til then Trent had no idea what Nomad Cannons looked like yet when he scanned the Naval Guardsmen at Zone-21...

Its a thing of game mechanics I presume.
