A connection from Rheinland to the foreign region of Gallia! Exciting, don't you agree? Not Gallia itself, that is! The connection between Rheinland and Gallia is a most remarkable infrastructural evolution. It strengthens Rheinland's economy by weakening the economical influence and pressure of the other sirian houses. Now, I myself do care very little for political power plays, however, on a scientific level, the intertwining of Rheinland and Gallic technologies, especially in terms of communications and logistics, is a most fascinating topic! Many months ago, I instructed some of my assistants to perform a field study in Gallia. Sadly, this operation was a major setback to me, as the assistants did the field study, yet never submitted the results to me for further analysis. This not only invalidated a lot of progress regarding one of my projects, but also increased the risk of gallic security becoming aware of unauthorized research projects in their region. For the time being, I was forced to postpone all activities related to the project, and cease communications with the affiliated assistants. A most unfortunate turn of events! Now, while it is unclear as to whether said assistants are still alive - as at least one of them had a strong tendency to get involved in unnecessarily problematic affairs - your willingness to perform activities leading to satisfactorial scientific transcendence is most welcome. As such, I would like you to assist me with the following endeavour: Take scans of five different gallic trade lane rings! - 35000 Credits I require you to simply move to Gallia and fly around using their trade lanes. Fairly simple, without much risk involved. And, while you're at it, leave the lanes at a convenient point, as far away from starting and ending point. Right in the middle. Then approach the closest lane ring, and take a few scans. It is an absolute requirement to take these scans in Gallia, in the following systems: Provence, Languedoc, Orleanais, Picardy and Champagne. Any trade lane ring will do, but respectively one in each of these systems. To take adequate scans, please get closer than 100 meters, use the "switch to target" icon in your operating interface and make sure to take guncam images. Taking these scans can take up to minutes, depending on the scanning array your vessel is using. I recommend you to seek the assistance of a second captain for this mission. For once, social company should provide entertainment during your stay in Gallia. Secondly, two vessels seen near trade lane rings are a lot less suspicious than a single one. If you are lacking social contacts to find an adequate companion for this journey, please tell me. I can attempt to reestablish contact with my other assistants. One more thing, Dr. Thorn.
