You power on your console and wait, as various lights begin to shine in different sections of it. The terminal greets you with a welcome screen, prompting you to input your data in order to log in. You insert your username and password and you wait for a few seconds for the system to authenticate the credentials before you are greeted by your rank, name and surname.
You're introduced to multiple options, and you hit the button that takes you to the reporting office.
Standing firm in your chair, you press the record button.
With the reports database now online, I... I figured it'd only be right if I made the beginning here as the first officer to get recruited in the new force! I have to say that a lot has happened over the past few days and that... if I was to try and remember it all I'd absolutely fail.. B-Buuuut I've reported all the noteworthy things to dispatch while I was on duty! There's still one or two things worth noting more.. "officially?" So.. I'll go over them here!
A slightly worrying occurrence, the other day, was a Freelancer Frigate-looking thing - loots of firepower - that jumped into Liberty from the Galileo system, carrying a full load of Artifacts. The ship's signature was something along the lines of Chronis76, and the pilot was completely irresponsive to my hails. They opened fire before I even told them to drop their cargo for confiscation, and I... got spaced pretty easily. After that event I filed a request to dispatch to receive command of a bomber so I can deal with such situations more easily, and after putting me through some paperwork and documentation things I was assigned a Havoc Mark two. The very next day, it'd turn out that I'd have to use that Havoc as that Freelancer was back, once again with a full load of Artifacts. This time around he was a little bit more talkative, but he still wasn't willing to drop the cargo, instead seeking to bribe me to move on. He even said he didn't remember who I was... Seeing how he wasn't going to drop the cargo, I opened fire on him and managed to disable his ship and free the Artifacts after a long engagement. I contacted dispatch and a transport arrived, taking the Artifacts to Manhattan for analysis.
Right after that fight, I scanned a bunch of weird-looking ships using the trade-lane network and decided to head over to New York to check them out, and I ran into those two ships - Freelancer IFFs, but clearly they were pirates - engaging a Navy gunboat and a Navy fighter. I don't remember the exact names of the ships, but they both carried an identificator; IFV, not that I know what that means. The Navy fighter was taken down, but the gunboat wasn't responding to my hails, asking if they needed assistance, so I did not jump in, not wanting to interfere with the Navy's business. Alas, the gunboat itself was also taken down, but both pirate ships were quite hurt. Of course, I couldn't let them just leave so I engaged them, and very quickly disposed both of them.
Later in the same day I met an individual at Manhattan's vicinity, Dahlia, who expressed.. interest..? To.. join the force. I of course had nothing against that to tell her, if anything I even encouraged her to, as I'd really love to have a partner out in space during my patrols, someone to have my back. I escorted her to the Plaza and went through the application process with her... I.. I suppose I'll be seeing her in space under our banner.. soon?
uhm... Anyway. That is all for now! I-.. I will keep the documents updated with any further events worth mentioning!
