Subject: Deal.

Commander Amy West;

Provisional captain Michael Bartlertt speaking, on behalf of the crew of the now defunct Insurgent Secondary Fleet, Battleship Petronius.

I've just had the perfectly timed luck and pleasure of meeting with Navarch Leviathan on the field, while mobilizing onto our next hideout within the Copernicus System, he provided sitrep on the Legion remnants being aided by the Technocracy to keep fighting back against the Republic of Liberty. Over the last three years ever since Veracruz fell, we've been laying low and monitoring the situation on Liberty, particularly Ontario and Pennsylvania, unable to intervene much due to the precarious state of the Arbiter-class our crew is stuck with; the vessel is in severe disrepair and requires urgent maintenance, something that our already under-crewed team is unable to fulfill, and as time passes more issues keep piling up to the extent that our vessel has become a liability rather than a safe haven.

Commander West, I'm getting in touch with you with one request, and that is that you aid our crew to return our vessel to combat readiness, something that Navarch Leviathan ensured your engineers can do with relative ease. I am glad to report that the extent of damage has more to do with lack of maintenance of sensitive equipment rather than full-fledged combat on the field, the vessel has seen little action ever since the Insurgency fell, so it shouldn't take longer than three months to get it up and running again with the right team of engineers, and less than a month with a full team and with the right infrastructure, something that your people has access to.

What we'll offer in return is our assistance in the field, our short-term goal is to cooperate with the irregular Zoner Militant groups in evicting Liberty forces from the Pennsylvania system and paying the debt that our people has with the victims and refugees down in Erie.

However and before any agreement is made we'd like to hear what are your terms and conditions, while we do respect the direction and position your group has taken in seeking refuge and support among the Technocracy, we would rather remain in a semi-autonomous capacity and seek to directly fly under command and support of the Zoner irregulars currently stationed in Pennsylvania, while also cooperating with Task Force Prometheus and any other domestic groups where our goals align whenever needed.

We'll wait your response, Commander Amy West, Libera Te Ex Infernis.

... It's been a while since I last heard that motto, now that I think about it.

Cpt. Michael Bartlett, Battleship Petronius.

[SECURE - YELLOW]

Bartlertt,

Always good to hear about another one of our ships breaking through the static. Five years without a port of call, I'm honestly more impressed the ship's mobile, but then again I'm sure your engineering staff is up day and night keeping it from going kaputz. God, I can relate.

I won't lie; You've picked a hell of a time to call in. Inverness is stable for the moment, but hostiles on each border make getting anything bigger than a cruiser in or out without firing alerts a real hassle. To top that off, I'm up to my eyeballs in work getting our own assets back in shape. Regardless, Legion helps their own; Always have, always will.

To start, the best I can offer for the moment is a standard go-over, patch up any problem spots and the like. It won't solve the age-related issues a lot of your components are probably suffering from, but it will stop the grinding and stress fractures from getting worse, at least for the time being. I don't have the yard space free, but depending on what's hurting I might not need it. If there is anything requiring hard moorage, a fair bet the Junkers at Invergordon can rent out a yard for the week it'd probably take. I'd recommend giving them a call and seeing if they're open; If they can provide the space, I can offer the men.

As for any conditions, my only one is that anyone aligning themselves with the Xenos not be allowed past the docking bay. I've got no problem with providing a mutual front against Liberty, and honestly the Militants would serve you and your crew better as far as operational freedom and proximity to the action are concerned, but giving the Xenos anything more than battlefield support is inviting a Trojan horse. Hesperia, the Harmony, the Roanoke; They are as opportunistic as they are loud. Keep 'em at arm's length, and you won't hear any complaints from me.

It's damn good to see another one of the line from Leniex still floating around, and even better to see the crew's still kicking ass. We'll get you guys back into shape and dishing heat again in no time, and god knows the Militants can always use the extra firepower at their side.
Oh, one last thing.
If you could forward a dossier of the ship's losses since Vespucci, I'd appreciate it. Been keeping a record of our fallen since Vespucci, and I'd like to know the names of any of your crew for the record. We've got a lot of funerals that Liberty's gonna pay for, mark my words.

Libera te ex Infernis.

West, out.

Commander Amy West;

This is far more than we've expected to get so early. Given your green light we'll begin mobilizing towards Inverness, so far and to our knowledge the path has been relatively clean and we've tried to keep far away from regular transit and patrol routes as we cannot afford a direct confrontation with hostiles, our scouts moving ahead ensure that our path is always clear, and if it's not we always have a Plan B agreed upon during briefing. The ship's hull integrity is acceptable, that is, it doesn't have any meaningful damage that requires towing the vessel back to a dry-dock, she can fly and maneuver properly, cruise engines are operative and within nominal parameters.

The real issue as mentioned earlier is damaged sensitive equipment, and we're unable to repair some of it because even if we had the right team of engineers we still lack a source of materials and proper logistics to move them in.

The Xenos shouldn't be a concern from our end, we'll make sure to keep clear from each other's ways and at much we'll assist the Milford Cooperatives in Pennsylvania if the goal aligns with ours in removing encroaching Liberty authorities from the system.

As for the logs, history and dossier of losses since the fall of Vespucci I am afraid that's one task that'll be harder to comply with. Earlier this month our former captain, Scott Tremblay took his own life in a mental breakdown. While he also tried to sabotage the vessel, he purged all databases and the ship's Logbook, meaning that any kind of logged information has been lost since then, I will however have a word with the crew and take notes of all names that are declared as MIA or KIA. This incident is also the reason I am acting as a captain in a provisional capacity and I'll remain as such until the vessel is combat ready once more and we can elect a new command among our ranks.

For the time being we will begin preparations to begin moving towards Inverness, if Task Force Prometheus can afford it, an escort for the journey between Copernicus and Inverness would be more than welcome, albeit not necessary.

I hope we can meet soon, Commander West.

Cpt. Michael Bartlett, Battleship Petronius.
