Mining Ship

What kind of setup is best for mining.
Read alot post but all says different.
So i want to know what fitting is best?

Edit: Were can i mine cobalt and then sell it?

Well... Mine has a Miner ship, IMG IFF and ID and full mining turrets.

Basic miner loadout methinks.

But it all depends on what youre mining. Cobalt... Not sure...

I have mining ship, right id and tag.
I want to now if i got more yeild when mining if i use more laser.

I tried to mined Cobalt in Omega 7... didnt worked.

This should answer a lot of your questions. As for finding Cobalt... Omega-7 is the only place I can think of looking. The mining section of your map screen should be fully operational, so check the locations it mentions. If those places don't drop Cobalt, then it has not been added as a drop. Mm, maybe I should prod Dusty for a list of all minable commodities and vague directions on where you might find them.

Read that also, but it dosnt answer any question. Of number on miner effect still i need to know.

copper and silver i find but not cobalt so far.
Im guessing that isnt the hole field just some small "mining pockets" in the field.

Dresden had Cobalt and Diamonds I believe, if I am not mistaken. The Leipzig side cloud had Cobalt... at least I remember like that.

The number of mining lasers you use does add a commulative effect to mining yield. So technically the more you use the more you get. However as I undestand it, the yield bonus is applied as soon as the asteroid is struck and the chances of all your miners hitting at once is limited. I was advised to fit 4 or 5 lasers at front of ship and mine from the cockpit view as this seems to increase the chance of those lasers hitting together apparrently
