411TH INTELLIGENCE WING
So-called: "Zeta wing", "Nightwatch"

411th Wing exists only "on paper". In fact, if we talk about the permanent composition of the wing, then it never existed. The constant transfer of undercover agents between units is a routine activity for the Order. And the Brigade was no exception. The main task of Zeta wing was to establish contacts from "outside" as well as with units within The Order itself, in the interests of the 34th Brigade, when it was necessary to conduct local reconnaissance or entice especially valuable persons to their side. Formed in 832 A.S. and disbanded on the eve of the expedition, in 833 A.S., Zeta wing remained stored in the Brigade archives until 835 A.S., when the need for local reconnaissance again increased against the background of the development of the Order's activities throughout the Sirius sector. But now the situation has changed, and Hades Brigade intends to turn the 411th wing not into a "walk-through yard", but into a permanently operating unit of its structure.

- "If anyone dares to claim that we can win any war with weapons and science, remember that the Zeta wing still exists. Half of our missions would be impossible to carry out if its agents weren't sent to establish the most current state of affairs in places where we poke our noses. The entire Order would not exist if it were not for the work of such agents. Welcome, this is how things have always worked here."

An excerpt from a conversation with Tau Wing pilots who were sent on a combat mission, September 18, 832 A.S.

SYNOPSIS

Where war is needed - Tau Wing pilots appear. Where eyes and ears are needed - Zeta Wing agents appear.

Established as a unit to simplify the coordination of undercover agents, Zeta Wing, throughout its years, was a "passing yard" for agents who temporarily got into the structure of the 34th Brigade as part of one or another reconnaissance mission. If it was necessary to find out something without posing as an agent of The Order, then the "Nightwatch" (as they later began to call them themselves) carried out the necessary surveillance and influenced things so that the Brigade ships could pass where difficulties could arise.

Half of the operations would not have taken place without the direct participation of dozens and hundreds of agents who at least once ended up in the 411th wing. It cannot be said that the "Zetas" were permanent participants in any major operation of 34th Brigade. Rather, the information received from their hands about the current situation in a particular region allowed to avoid unnecessary noise and establish the necessary contacts in a timely manner. Often, agents of this wing also discovered information that played a major role in problematic situations that the 34th Brigade faces to this day.

Some returned, some left forever. This was not a problem until the expedition came to an end. When the lack of personnel played an important role in the life of the Brigade, the Headquarters turned to restoring of the 411th wing. When you need to avoid unnecessary risks, it is easier to come to an agreement with your opponent, either by persuading him to your point of view, or even luring him over to your side.

You can trust no one. But it's possible to fool everyone and let the Brigade do its job. Cunning and words are bread and butter for anyone who has ever ended up in this wing.

STORY

If we talk about all the units of the Hades Brigade, the 411th wing is probably the most unremarkable of them. Not because the wing mostly conducts intelligence activities, and reports on their work are strictly classified, giving all the glory to more known units. But because the flow of personnel here has always been so high that today an agent who joined the Brigade would be assigned to the 411th wing in a week, and would leave it in two weeks. The reason for this was that each unit of the Order always needed intelligence agents.

Today one unit needs an agent, tomorrow - another. Transfers from one mission to mission are commonplace for those who decided to act covertly. In view of the volume of their work, it became clear to the 34th Brigade that it was easier to allocate a separate wing for such people, placing all of them there, which was convenient for such a large unit of the Order at the time of 832 A.S. In the same year, the "Zetas" emerged. In its structure, the unit was always a place for newly arrived intelligence agents, whose tasks included standard operations to search and collect information for the needs of the Order, or the targeted luring of a potentially valuable person into the ranks of the 34th Brigade. Each agent acted, for the most part, independently and according to his own "code" of work, because of which there were no permanently working agents in the 441th, who could consider themselves members of the Brigade.

The only thing that remained for the Brigade HQ was to transmit orders to the wing and clarify important details that facilitate the execution of operations. Sometimes several agents gathered together, sometimes the number of ships operating together could reach 6 vessels at a time. In the period of 832-833 A.S., 34th Brigade passed about a hundred undercover agents through the 411th wing and some people had worked for quite a long time as part of the unit. It was not uncommon for the same person to join this branch several times in a row. In fact, this is precisely why the Zeta wing acted as a separate unit within the Brigade structure. This greatly simplified coordination for everyone.

The wing was largely unremarkable to those outside the Brigade or who had been with it since its inception. For the agents themselves, coming and going, it had its own atmosphere. Whether this was some grand scheme by Adam Helson and Tim Smith (previous Zeta wing commander), or just a lucky coincidence, remains a mystery. But already in 833 A.S. Zeta wing began to be unofficially called the "Nightwatch", mainly due to the connection between the phrase "working in the shadows" with the definition that night is the dark time of day. And the work of the agents themselves involved collecting information through observation.

During the pre-expedition period, the 411th Wing has been disbanded, as the 34th Brigade saw no need for such agents for approximately the next year. The agents themselves were reassigned to work in other units, as if "Zetas" had never existed. Tim Smith was essentially the wing's only permanent member, with three other pilots, all of whom transferred to the Brigade's science units that took part in the expedition.

None of them ever returned home.

After returning from the expedition, no one could have imagined that the 34th Brigade would continue to exist. However, fate and the actions of certain individuals resulted in the Brigade's numbers constantly growing. Ensign Kunrad Amhrad, who joined the Brigade, earned the rank of Commander and proved himself to be a competent agent who managed to persuade people who were not related to The Order to side with it, became the reason for the return of the 411th wing. The vital need for new faces in the Brigade ranks and safety of active-working agents sets the task of using the 411th wing as an instrument of intelligence and at the same time recruitment into the ranks of The Order. Of course, basic idea of the wing to compensate for the need for intelligence agents has not gone anywhere. Someone will still come and go, and then - return. But now Adam Helson expects that the Zeta Wing will have its own personnel, working only in the interests of the 34th Brigade.

RANKS

411th Wing rank system is consistent with its previous status. If a Brigade is commanded by a Captain, then a Zeta Wing is commanded by a Commander. Basically, all agents assigned to the Zeta Wing operate independently, within the framework of orders received from HQ or from the wing commander.

• Ensign

A newly minted intelligence agent who, by the will of fate, finds himself in the ranks of the wing, who is destined to either gain experience here in order to move on, or to stay here forever. It is not uncommon for ensigns to leave the ranks of the 411th Wing immediately after completing their first, real operations, in order to then receive new tasks in other units of The Order.

• Lieutenant

As a rule, this may be a competent agent from other units of The Order, with the rank of lieutenant, who has arrived here only temporarily to deal with some serious task. But it can also be a permanent member of the 411th wing, who acts in the interests of the 34th Brigade and, perhaps, also began his service as an intelligence officer here.

• Commander

Wing Commander. The primary role of the Commander in 411th wing is to conduct reconnaissance operations, provide recommendations to other lieutenants and ensigns, and assist in analyzing existing data and relaying all information to Brigade HQ.

OORP

Basically, it's an RP movement, designed for collective gameplay. Maybe you were lured into the Brigade through iRP, but you don't like PvP, and you don't want to write tons of text in scientific posts either. It's quite possible that you will enjoy playing as part of the 411th wing, just doing reconnaissance and talking to random pilots.

As has been said before, the Zeta wing is a "walk-through yard" (even if in its current state this is only partly true). Basically, if you just want to try the RP vibe "undercover", then we will be happy to help you with this in any way we can. Perhaps you will find your place here, and become a permanent member of the 411th wing and the 34th Brigade.
