Originally built in the Kepler system, Freeport 26 was hastily dismantled and towed to Galileo in early 833 AS, narrowly avoiding obliteration by dark matter storm. After its biodomes were reassembled, local Zoners upgraded the station to produce other essential supplies. In 835 AS, a ZDF science team returned from an extended survey mission and set up shop to research anomalous materials. They are usually assisted by contractors from the ZS Group, who also operate a 'hardware store' on board.
