I think I still have my Coalition overhaul document somewhere, but there's a lot of potential regarding that faction I think. Adding more big-ticket content (new house/economy/lore) into this game with such few players probably would not yield any long term success.

The Coalition being buddy buddy with all the major house unlawfuls never really made any sense too me. I think it would be cool if they were to stab all the unlawful factions in the back and set up a larger camp using stolen supplies and goods.

But of course a development like this would take months to get story sign off and then implementation would be a whole other story. But going back to their roots would be sweet.

I can't in any way imagine that house being written in a way that wouldn't be offensive.

Maybe not a House, but adding more African RP fluff, not just names like "Planet Timbuktu", but "grafting" these aspects into existing Houses and factions.

I think it would be nice to have at least a few nods toward the innumerable cultures of Africa, for Northern Africa, Sub-Saharian Africa, and Southern Africa (South Africa, Zimbabwe, etc.); though some Northern African ones are already hinted* at in terms of systems (i.e. Planet Tangier, (now-expired) treaty of Algérie** (Forumlancer), and others); bottom line: I think it'd be reasonable to add more RP things about Africa in-game. So that you can both recognize the existence of Africa not just through infocards but via the various factions. And avoid offensiveness or possible offensive stuff.

That said, the same could be said for any of the other Houses; grounding them too heavily in a single RL culture always risks falling into exaggeration. Africa’s just a bit more of an edge case in that regard, its so immensely diverse that trying to capture it under one banner would almost certainly miss the point.

*: Hinted at being the issue, I believe, because like I said, it would be nice to add these things into existing factions in my opinion.
