I'm contacting you because I'm in dire need of a new ship.
You see, my trusty Borderworld transport is showing its age, and I saw some fellow Zoner flying your ship, the Bulwark.
Is it possible to get one?
My name is Aria Hull, Assistant Director for Sales here on Bristol Bay Station and current representative for sales in regards to our Bulwark program.
At this time, I’m finding a severe lack of information on your person, Mr ‘$NAK3’ - for instance, a legal name, where you hail from, who you operate with, your current zone of operations, and what exactly you’re requiring the Bulwark-class Heavy Explorer for. After all, the use of these vessels is niche - operations in the Taus, out of Freeport 6, would scarcely need such a vessel, and the same could be said for House Space operations.
To be perfectly clear, Bristol C&M does not make these sales lightly. The Bulwark is an investment, not only for the buyer, but also for our Engineering Department on Akutan Production Facility. The current components economy is, I’ve been told from Ms Chellew, becoming increasingly difficult to source materials from.
The price for a hull, for some context, is 15.000.000 cr. Bear in mind, Mr ‘$NAK3’, that this is for the hull only. Armament, shields, and secondary thruster systems are not included in this price.
I look forward to hearing back from you, if you’re still interested.

I am reaching out to you as an entrepreneur who never chooses the easy path. My trade routes stretch from the Burgundy system deep into the Omicron sectors—regions where Nomads and the Wild cause frequent and dangerous confrontations. Over the past months, I have lost numerous ships and tested just as many replacements, none of which proved capable of handling the demands of this route.
Now I am down to my final attempt. With my remaining funds—supplemented by several financial loans—I intend to acquire a vessel that can finally endure these hazardous journeys. This purchase would be a decisive investment in the future of my shipping company and would reassure my creditors that their money is being used responsibly, rather than squandered in some casino on a remote planet.
I maintain strong relations with bounty hunters, though my clients operate across the entire Sirius sector. The equipment and outfitting for the new vessel will be financed through a separate trade account and, with some luck, fully covered by the sale of my old Borderworld transport.
Should you require further information, you may contact me through any channel available to you. However, I would prefer to continue our discussions in person—perhaps over a good drink at a Zoner Freeport bar. It is, after all, a far more pleasant setting for future business negotiations.
Respectfully,
Admiral of the Rising Spedition of Impossible Routes
$NAK3
This information worries me. Let me be very, very blunt. I still haven’t heard your name, or who you operate with; these details are crucial to make a proper evaluation of your character and capacity. That said, I think you have already volunteered sufficient information.
That you operate from Burgundy to the Omicrons, and have lost several ships, is indicative of a lack of care on your part as a Captain. I know of several Bristol captains who have made that route, the Tumu-Ra’i-Fenua under Vascoguoncellos and Tsushima Maru under Tani, neither of which are Bulwark-class vessels. That you take this route, while having clients across Sirius, instead of servicing those clients in areas of space which you may well be more suited towards, indicates that lack of care on your part.
That you would require separate financing, on behalf of the sale of the only vessel with which you still own, is also worrying.
As such, Bristol C&M will not be selling you a Bulwark-class Heavy Explorer.
Have a pleasant day.

Thank you for your candid response. I appreciate the time you have taken to look over my request, as well as the straightforwardness of your concerns — it reflects the professional standards Bristol C&M is known for.
Allow me to clarify a few points, as I believe my earlier message may not have conveyed the full picture of my situation or intentions.
The losses I have taken along the Burgundy–Omicron corridor were the unfortunate result of a series of contracted obligations that left me with little flexibility in routing. I fully acknowledge the risks — and the responsibility lies with me. Since then, I have taken steps to correct these issues: restructuring my operational patterns, adjusting my crew composition, and limiting my exposure to unnecessary hazards. My current intent is not to repeat past mistakes, but to build a far more stable and reliable operation.
Regarding financing: the sale of my current vessel is not born from desperation, but from a strategic restructuring aimed at consolidating resources for a long-term upgrade. If necessary, I am fully prepared to provide documentation, references from previous partners, or even undergo an evaluation period to demonstrate my reliability.
I understand Bristol C&M’s hesitation — the Bulwark-class is not a vessel handed out lightly. But I genuinely believe that with the right guidance and a structured acquisition plan, I could meet the expectations Bristol places on its captains.
If a direct sale is still off the table, perhaps there is an alternative path:
• a conditional purchase agreement,
• a probationary lease arrangement,
• or even a trial contract demonstrating my operational discipline.
I am more than willing to work within your framework.
I respect your decision regardless — but if you are willing, I would appreciate the opportunity to prove that I can be the kind of captain Bristol C&M would be comfortable equipping with a Bulwark-class Heavy Explorer.
Thank you again for your consideration.
I hope we can find a path forward.
