First time posting on here, second time playing discovery, technically. I played a few years ago for a short spell, but have jumped back in recently and haven't put it down. To be honest, the level of RP and the dedication to it is a little overwhelming, but I'm enjoying reading through the forum/wiki and trying to get my head around the various factions, rules and history. I've also jumped on the discord.
I'm planning to build a base at some point, but still figuring out who with and why. I'm kinda leaning toward a freeport, but mining and processing sounds like it could be interesting also.
Still building a proper character, but I think I've settled on a Zoner or other edge-world non-pirate of some kind.
So hi, I'm Idle, and maybe I'll see you out there.
Hey chief. Good to meet you. Happy to see someone take a liking to Zoners in 2026 AD.
Trust me, it gets easier to immerse yourself once you know the broad basics of the setting. Asking people questions in-game about things you (and your character) don't know about can be a fun way to generate some chit-chat, once you have their background sorted.
