' Wrote:Bad Handling part: False, actually has a pretty good handling, except for the occasional upward drift when you go down, and downward drift when you go up.

Why's it always take me ages to turn around when I undock the wrong miner, then?...

' Wrote:Badly Defended: False, the front can fire around 6, while the back can fire up to 8. That doesn't sound defenceless to me, considering all turrets are Class 7 Mountables.

Transport turrets suck, anyways...and it's a big target for a SN. If you miss a miner from above or below, you must be flying with your eyes closed...

' Wrote:Miners don't need to tractor anything: False. What if some pirate comes by and is about to pillage you? You would tractor in as much as you possibly can and run like mad.

Your escorts ward the pirates off/your traders gobble up the stuff and run. The miner sacrifices itself to the pirate(s)...

' Wrote:Oversized: Not oversized, but it is big. What do you expect? Its a mining ship, built to mine rocks.

Again, note SN target...plus the fact it's as wide as the trade lanes...

Point is, it's fine as is...make it any more expensive (which an increased cargo hold will do...cargo space is the most expensive thing you can buy in a ship) will make it not worth buying...

Look, I know how to summarise all what you said in one go.

Its a Mining ship.

There. This isn't really on the topic about 'how many SN's you can shoot at the massive thing.
You're just saying how its just a big ship and how bad it is.
Try looking on the positive aspects of the ship. And you have to deal with Transport turrets Class 7. Saying they're 'bad' is like saying all traders are useless at defending themselves. I know traders can easily take down Bombers with just 6 turrets. This depends on the experience of the trader. But hey, class 7 turrets are one level below a gunboat. Their better than you think, try using them to your advantage.

Why's it always take me ages to turn around when I undock the wrong miner, then?...

You don't make much sense there.

Your escorts ward the pirates off/your traders gobble up the stuff and run. The miner sacrifices itself to the pirate(s)...

Saying the 'miner sacrifices itself to the pirates' is in a way, saying this: "The pirate can kill me and all the minerals are wasted. So much for staying there and playing as bait." Seriously, who would be dumb enough to just let their miner get destroyed? It's like you're encouraging suicide in this case. Not only that, the minerals you mined hard for would probably disappear. And then you will have to leave the system. That is definately what any miner would want to do. If you do, I feel very sorry for you.

And they're is one point you're missing, this isn't a topic about how 'big' the mining ship is. Its about how the cargo space can be enlargened to increase productive RP. Not how many SNs you can peg into a sitting Miner.

Oh, and one more thing,

(which an increased cargo hold will do...cargo space is the most expensive thing you can buy in a ship)

Just wanted to pick on this one. Battleships have less cargo than a transport, yet they cost 750 Mill. Just thought I'd correct you there. :D

Hmm, I voted keep the same on both polls... if anything perhaps miner ship could be given a tiny cargo say 1k and great boost to droprate, so cooperation would become more of a requirement not an option...
