Freelancer Discovery: setup and connection manual

Installation

1) Install Freelancer if you haven't already, patch 1.1 is included so you won't need it.

2) If this is the first Freelancer mod you are using, download and install Freelancer Mod Manager (FLMM):

3) Download and activate via FLMM the latest version of Discovery:
http://discoverygc.com/files/Discovery.zip.flmod

Be sure to check for updates. You needn't upload them if this is first install (complete version includes all of them). Link to download updates is

4) To install updates, rename discovery.zip.flmod to discovery.zip and inzip the files to Freelancer folder (overwrite). You will still need to use FLMM in case of reinstalling Freelancer.

Connecting to server

1) Simple way: Create shortcut to Freelancer.exe adding " -s81.26.155.31:2302" after the file path, target should look like
"Your_FL_installation_path\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe -s81.26.155.31:2302"

Launch Freelancer with the new shortcut and open Multiplayer -> LAN. There you'll see Discovery GPInternet FL24/7 server.

2) More universal way: Launch Freelancer normally and open Multiplayer -> Internet, a long list of internet servers will be downloaded. Our server name is Discovery GPInternet FL 24/7. Game version will be 4.7*-4.8*.

After you've found Discovery once, it will be saved as visited server and you won't have to look for it again.
