Reputation error

Hi there,

yesterday I received a transmission from another pilot, who told me, that my IFF is a Corsair one. Strange for me, because I use a Rheinland Train with ALG ID, but the ALG rep is not at the maximum. I looked for the Corsair rep and it was nearly red.

But here is a screenshot of the IFF:


Is this a bug?

It can happen when you haven't seen a certain NPC type, and it maxes out before the faction you wanted to max out.

I'd take it he was killing Hessians or GMG, both enemies of Corsairs.

The problem is: it is MY ship with the wrong IFF and my Corsair rep isn't high. So you think it's a problem that he probably didn't encounter the 'Sairs?

I've seen a Zoner Guard-tagged Zoner Dessie dock, and undock with Corsair tag. I asked why he used droprep and he said he didn't, and that the Zoner Guard tag was still flashing. I followed him through a jumphole, and on the other side, he was a Zoner Guard again.

I understand it happens on occasion when you don't have an IFF, and it sometimes happens when you do.
