I've noticed while flying around Omicron Minor in my recently created Order indpendent character that NPCs don't always have their full names. About half the time you get a couple with a single name such as Elijah or Thomas. This adding very well into the RP of the order NPC faction and kudos for the dev team for that. But isn't it time the Order faction caught up? The Order is a covert faction, so wouldn't it make sense to have code names amongst their more elite operatives? (Player Faction Players)
I'm not blowing smoke up my own bum but i've recently created a character that operates in Kusari. It has an Order ID and Tag but it currently flies a Wyrm Kusari Light Fighter and mounts two Kusari guns alongside two order guns. I've currently named this one "Jato" and am currently setting up another operative in Rheinland named "Axel". I was wondering; purely out of interest in the order's potential role play and quality of gameplay; that possibly a division of the order could be whisked up like this. It would dig some of you out of idleness at the Isis and would definatley attract more players to the Order player faction as a whole.
Not being in the Order official faction myself I have no idea what the situation is with you guys at the moment. Weather your busy, busy, busy or have nothing scheduled for the next two days never mind weeks. But from out here it seems like you guys don't have anything better to do with your time in the upcoming future other than the odd skirmish with bounty hunters.
Hey! It's something to do. Coudn't hurt could it? If it doesn't work out it's not a permenant thing.
Realistic-wise, which is asking Freelancer to jump spin and strip for us with Russian girls, you shouldn't even be able to see the names of the pilots anyway. I think.
But I can see your reasoning, but its easier to identify people with more than a one word name, and makes them a bit more unique.
I like the idea of having order tagged and ID'd house ships inside every house to serve as the order's eyes and ears in systems they dont control, as well as to offer assistance against the ever-growing threat of the wilde (particularly in kusari and rheinland).
However, I think at this point in time it is not allowed for Order ID'd players to use house military ships... I could be wrong, I'll have to go back and look at the technology use chart, but it may be something that requires special RP requests.
If so, then it might be better to create an admin-approved faction (official or otherwise) for which the admins can approve all faction members to use specific ship loadouts that would otherwise be OORP.

I know that this is an Order suggestion, but just wanted to say. If someone I don't know says "Hi Austin" or "Hello Goodmen." I'll normally respond to "Who are you, and how do you know my name?"
Erm with that being said, the MI5 characters running around in Bretonia use Callsigns, so I don't see why the Order couldn't adopt it.
Good ideas, it will definately attract more people as it gives the Order a ZOI all over the Sirius Sector.
During my short time in my Light Carrier, I noticed that there are no Order capital ship NPCs. The Order have all of these new capital ships, the Hathor, the Geb, etc, but cant there be NPC patrols containing these new ships?
[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.
