I was talking with Virus last night about a roleplaying event that we are planning, and we realized that all of the Battle Slot threads in the Events forum are easily drowning out people's notice of other events that may be posted there.

We think that there should be a separate forum just for the Battle Slots. I guess call it "Battle Slots" and either make it a subset of the Events sub-forum or just make it a sub-forum of the RP Forum side by side with the Events sub-forum.

Right. Try saying that sentence ten times fast!

This addition will allow other events to get the visibility that they are due, without having to compete with 2 dozen other threads that are being bumped every day.

True that. We can mash up videos of some of the events along with a slideshow featuring screenshots of every ship from multiple angles.

A dedicated subforum for the battle slots sounds like a good idea.

About the intro movie. Making one would be cool, but showing all ships is a bad idea. It spoils the game. The mod is called discovery for a reason. We can show some, like RH bomber, lib GB, and the like, which are the most obvious ships. We leave the rest for the player to discover.:)
