"I do agree that we will work with any that want to work with us. We will not alienate anyone. I hold no grudges against the COZ, they just decided to go in a different direction then OSI. Not wanting to be hypocritical about it in ignoring a council I was apart of, I decided it was best to move on. We three factions have a common dream and goals. If independents want to follow the ZA we should welcome them. Things will be different then the COZ, but thats change. Though the ZA will handle matters that concern the ZA. Thinking about it we should limit our sphere of influence to the areas that most concern us. We can handle security in these limited areas. So then matters have just been simplified. We will handle our own treaties and trade agreements, and the COZ can handle theirs. Any factions that want to make deals with any of us will have to approach the Zoner Alliance."

Sam sits back and stretches his arms.

" So we will handle our own. As to how the Alliance will operate. This is an other concern we need to figure out. All of our folks are part of and support the ZA, how are we going to come to decisions. I do think members should be included in discussions and it will allow us to get a good feel for how everyone feels. Then we can make the best decision that will forward our concerns and goals."

Sam polished off his coffee and set the cup aside.

"Well what other issues do we have?"

"Mrs. Salome," responded Doc as he looked over at her, "No one is torturing me. If they are, it's worth being here."

He sat back for a moment as his bag was changed out after which his wife sat next to him and again kept her hand over his to keep it from moving.

"TAZ keeps ships based where there are not just TAZ interests but Zoner interests. Be it a faction ship or an independent, we try to maintain a presence for escort and security,"he explained.
"Now, for the Council of Zoners itself. No doubt we will have to work with them and I'm fine with that but one thing I will not allow is to have there absolute law being forced against me. The bases in Baffin are ours, one of which is holy ground and defended with force if needed," he continued, stopping to clear his throat and take a drink.

As he drank, a concerned Midori spoke softly to him, John Henry, you can barely get to your feet as it is yet you talk of force."
"Most people forget, Dahlin', of those I rescued awhile back. Dishonor them and, well......"he finished.

He then coughed briefly, "As for the rest of TAZ, I have not said anything of these proceedings although they have channel access. I figured we would put together some sort of plan for me to present first."

Doc then sat back, coughed briefly and continued to listen.

In a way, John Holliday was much relieved to hear the words of Louisa Salome. He needed his recovery time and it would be best for him in his own home back on Gran Canaria. He then looked to all present.

"Mr. Nichols, Mrs. Salome and my other good friends, I do think that we need to come up with some ideas. I dare say that next time we decide to meet that I will be in much better health." He then briefly looked at his attire again, which, although it may not have bothered anyone else considering his current circumstances, annoyed Doc himself. "And I'll be a bit more.....presentable."

He then coughed a bit and cleared his throat, "In the meanwhile, TAZ vessels will maintain their presence as they always have. Anywhere we trade or have influence, we will be present. Should you need escort or assistance, we can be counted on."

Sensing the end of the meeting, Dr. Richards and Midori helped Doc to his feet. Midori's gunship had arrived at Lividia to take him home with a medical staff on board, a shuttle providing a ride to there from Corinth.
"John, I will keep you sedated again for the trip home, explained Dr. Richards, "Once home, the Canaria Hospital chief medical officer will take care of you. Until such time, Mrs. Holliday is in charge of you."

In no position to argue, nor the health to do so, John just nodded his agreement and with his wife at his side, boarded a Corinth shuttle bound for Lividia for the trip home.

Sam stood in respect as Doc was helped to the door. After the door slid closed he turns to face Mrs. Salome

"Well I'll be returning to my offices on Freeport 9. Once there I will jot down some ideas and we can get this ball rolling. Thank you for your hospitality Mrs. Salome. A pleasure as always."

Sam excuses himself and makes his way into the hall. Taking out his communicator he calls his Yacht.

"Get the ship ready to depart and set a course for Freeport 9. Get Reis and Spartacus back into the office also, we have some work to do. I'll be on board in 10, so be ready to go"

Sam grabbed a lift to the lower decks and headed for the airlock where his ship was moored.
