Ok, what does AA mean exactly? do you mean Anti Aircraft? explain.

I think AA in Disco terms means an anti-fighter/bomber setup, such as all Solaris turrets.

Right now, no. Solaris transport turrets use too much energy. Once that gets fixed, assuming the range isn't nerfed too far, it may work pretty well. Of course, on particularly large transports such as the Shire and the liners, the range on the Solaris turrets may not be long enough to shoot much farther than one end of the ship to the other, which severely limits the effectiveness of having a bunch of turrets.
