Hey I was just curious for the Bretonian Destroyer what would the best set of armaments be for anti cap ship duty. I mean its a destroyer a capital ship not a bomber its for taking on the big guns not bombers or fighters that is why you have fighter escort.

So anyway I was wondering this would be the first time I would be rping a cap vessel an well I have the rp side down pat I just don't know well to say this I'm sketchy on weapons an things:)I mean I bought 3 light mortar an 2 dessie missile an yea that obviously didnt work so any idea would be nice thanks so much

You have a bretonia destroyer? thats the rarest shipclass to see flown in the entire mod.

Id' say 2 light mortars and the rest primaries if I were you.

Id go with 2 pulses, 1 LM and 6 tertiary turrets, it gives you a good ammount of firepower, while not straining the medium powerplant that it has. Plus, the tertiary turrets can be pressed into anti-fighter duty, as they are fast enough to hit and dammage any fighter thats not watching what hes doing. Also, if you are in a fleet battle, the pulses can be very helpful in taking out enemy caps shields before they can do the same to yours.


@Cam: The bretonian destroyer as i understand it has a 1.8 mil powerplant, the praefect can barely use 2 light mortars on a 2.25 mil plant.

Yea I um found out the hard way. I have originally purchased 3 Light Mortar (1 firing from rear) 2 destroyer Missile 3 cruiser pulse and 2 Destroyer Tertiary.


:)you can See that I found out the hard way the destroyer managed to rattle off 2 light mortar an keep firing its dessie tertiary without any hope of it getting enough power up again to rattle off any mortar. It really surprised me I thought the destroyer would have been able to rattle off a missile an a mortar but it doesnt seem to be able to an if it were it would leave the destroyer with out any power to rattle off any guns.

I unforetunately didn't find the power info till now but not to worry would have thought destroyer being bretonia's in between for bs an gunboat might have lil more energy under its core but Im really unfased by this just have to make it work with what ya got.

:Dnot so rare now is it there is 1 more than there used to be.

Ok I might try out that setup of weapons an see how I go.

Is there anyone else that would have ideas on Anti cap ship specific Bretonian destroyer Load out.
