Ok, so after installing Update 2 my in-game field of view became too big and it makes the game look distorted (think the dream sequences in Max Payne). Before the -dx command was implemented, I had my cameras.ini, freelancer.ini, along with FONTS files all manually adjusted. After -dx became available, I turned that command on but I didn't restore any of those files to their defaults. It worked okay after Update 1 but now, after getting the problem, I'm going back and fiddling around with all the FOV values in cameras.ini and they're not having any in-game effect.

I noticed that there's another DATA folder in my Discovery485 directory that also has the cameras file. I tried messing with that too, but still - no effect.

When I take out the -dx from the command line, my FOV still remains too big but on top of that, the edges of the screen are cut off as well.

So my question is, what files do I mess with to adjust the FOV since the old ones don't seem to do anything?

p.s. I'm running in 1280x800

Firstly, clear out all of the FOV edits you made and restore them to defaults. Then try using the command line option.

Yep, I tried that and nothing.

Someone mentioned in Cannon's pinned widescreen thread that the updates overrode all the ini's. Which would explain my problem...but also means a solution is going to be difficult.

Restore all font and fov files, then use -dx switch.
If that cannot be done, then remove mod and re-apply + update and use -dx switch.

I'm running 1280x800 and my original FOV values were 63.36 for everything (WinCamera, CockpitCamera, etc.)

I have the same problem, but I see there is no solution posted yet, could you please do so Cannon? I hate the big FOV on my Battleship. (Also restored all inis.)
