Disclaimer: All events portraid in this story are fictional. They did NOT occur in game and I have only made them up for the purposes of this story.

The Battle For Frankfurt:

Lance Fleisher looked out of the glass of his Wrath very heavy fighter. It had only been twenty-four hours since the start of the Rheinland civil war, and already he was weary and tried and wished for peace. He had been a fighter pilot for all of his career in the Rheinland Military and he had never experianced something of this ferrocity.

The attack had been unexpected, and it was rumoured amonst the fighter pilots that the two well-known captain's had been invoved personaly. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts. He was on a mission and he had to complete it.

He was the leader of a small scout squadron, consisting of two bombers, two light fighters and Five Very Heavy Fighters. He was leading them on a search through the Rheinland controlled area, to see if he could find any groups of Loyalists. The high brass of the [RM] called the [RM] and its supporters the 'Loyalists' and the [Rheinland] and their supporteds the 'Radicals'

"I have something on my scanner sir." Said one of the fighter pilots, and Lance checked his own device.

"Yes, I have it too. Move to intercept."

The Wing of fighters spun at a 10 o'clock angle towards the blip on the their screens. The blip turned to move in their direction and soon, Lance could make out that it was a fighter wing similar to his. They stopped within 500 metres of him.

He counted three VHF and four Light fighters. "You guys loyalist or Radical?"

"Loyalist. Long live the current Chancellor!" said the Leader

"Good to see it!" Repilied Lance, can you help us look for more like you?"

"We had similar intentions. My name is Randy Wilhelm. I hail from Dresden."

"Nice to meet you, I am Lance Fleisher. I am from the Capital."

Lance set his ship to cruise and sat back while the much large squadron flew toawrds the waypoint. Everything was unevent full. He had heard stories of the fighting around the populated zones. It was brutal and intense, where you didn't know who was who until they started shooting at you.

They came accross the end of the way point when they turned to reach the new path. Ahead was a cruiser, slightly damaged. It had about fight Wraths in formation with it.

"Captain! Are you loyalist or Radical."

"Loyalist. Fall in formation with my ship, the Einsenhower. We are moving to engage a unit of Radical forces in the area."

Lance signalled to his sqard and they all fell in behind the fighters. The cruisers engines started to charge and the fighters followed suit. After only ten minutes, a large number of blips apeared on teh screen, vastly outnumbering them. As they drew nearer, he could count around 35 light fighters and very heavy fighters and about 5 bombers.

"This is our fleet," The captain spoke, "We are mobilising here to take on a radical fleet in the area."

"Where is it?" Replied Lance.

"I brought it right here, Death to the False Chancellor!" The cruisers guns opened fire, imediatly destroying one of the VHF's. LAnce dove into action as the cruiser started firing and the enemy fighters moved to attack. His ship flew forward and he opened fire on the appreaching wave and was answered by a tsunami of Tachyon and plasma shots. He barrel rolled and fired a blast from his Diamond Backs and destroyed a light fighter, its pilot not switf enough.

Killing his engines he turned around to face the melee, and he could not tell who was the enemy and who were his allies.

He fired again, at one of the ships and it exploded in a green haze. Quickly rolling, he faced a bomber. This was a enemy, because while facing one of his own bombers, which fired green plasma, the enemy bomber fired scything yellow arc's of energy which ripped through the bombers sheilds and demolished its armour. The allied ship was cleft in two and the halfs melted from in-human energies.

He knew he could not fight these for long, and prayed that the Chancellor would guide re-inforcments to assist him.
