*** INCOMING TRANSMISSION ***
*** Subject : Patrol report ***
*** Encryption : Medium ***
*** Priority : Top ***
*** Addressed to : Primary Fleet High Command ***

Good day dear members of High Command,
this is Commodore Hall of the 6th Texas Reserve fleet secondary flagship Grand Canyon speaking. Alarms today called us into combat once more, as we heard about a cruiser loose in Liberty. To much our amusement, it was Rheinland ship, headed directly for Manhattan. We had some troubles containing it, but we succeeded after few minor skirmishes and ship surrendered.

To my amazement, captain of the RNC cruiser is cooperative one, and despite his constant talking about escape, he did not try, probably because of our overwhelming fire superiority. Ship is now moored at Sugarland prison facility, with crew members and captain held separately from the remaining prisoners. We have also deployed several assault craft with marines to help guarding the cruiser and crew members aboard the prison facility.

I hereby humbly request High command for the decision, on what we do with working, well armed piece of Rheinland technology. I am more then sure they will not let go such thing unnoticed, nor will they remain inactive. The station is at the border, and is relatively easily accessible by a raiding party. Once you decide on the fate of the ship, I suggest moving it and the crew into safer spot, preferably the secret installation someplace else.

Our gunners took several pictures from the entire incident

Also, we took a video recording of the ship mooring at Sugarland, as it was succesful and shortly prior to deployment of Manta assault craft.

And if I may request, give the captain of the ship a call to Rheinland. He has kitty to take care of.

Benedikt looked out through the small port in his cell which was, surprisingly, not as horrible as he was expecting. His mattress was clean and new, if that counted. He sighed loudly to himself.

"Vhy did zat commander fool me? He said zat would be all I had to do to win ze war and be a hero... But vhy did he do it?"

He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. Benedikt was still young and foolhardy. He barely looked over eighteen, and he was actually only twenty. Most of his crew aboard the Freisetzung were also in the same age group, ranging from eighteen to twenty-one years old, almost all of them low ranking.

"Zis is bat... I do nicht like zis at all."

He lied down on his mattress, and tried to sleep.

Hall sits in his office on Norfolk shipyard, thinking

This whole situation makes no sense. Why would Rheinlanders, precious and organized folks, send out single cruiser, notably with such inexperienced crewman and relatively underequppied? And their goal, to put a flag on Manhattan, what a foolish idea?!
He shouted they will win the war, but how to stick a flag into a planet? Sacrificing ship for no real viable reason does not seem right. There must be something more to it, but I do not know what it is. Yet....

He then connects into Neural Net and begins typing a message

To chief of security of Sugarland prison facility
Sir, there might be something more to this whole story regarding the recently boarded RNC cruiser Freisetzung. Make sure the prisoners are well guarded constantly. And send pyrotechnic and engineering team to the Freisetzung, there can be something hidden onboard. Check the vessel carefully please. We must make sure nothing is overlooked.

Sighs and closes his laptop, stands up and heads to cantina.

Benedikt washed his hands and face in the small sink by his bed. He looked outside of the opening in the cell door, and saw quite a few of his crew in the same block with him.

"I am sorry mein friends. Maybe ve go home soon, ja?"

Several of them looked up and nodded.

"Ve did nicht kill anyone, so zey will not treat us like murderers or anyzing. Pray for your families und just wait, ve will be free soon enough."

A few "Ja"'s and other acknowledgments were sounded. After a few moments, one of the crew spoke up.

"How about you sing us one of ze songs, Kapitan?"

He smiled slightly to himself, the crew agreeing with the man. Someone started tapping their boot to a slow beat. Another member spoke up.

"Zey let me keep mein gitarre, so I shall play for us."

The strumming of the guitars notes started playing with the beat of the other crew members boot. Benedikt waited a few seconds, and started to slowly sing.

"Whoever does good vill be forgiven, therefor be good in all your journeys. Then you'll soon have visitors, ve'll come with the song book." Several of the crew started to hum deeply. "Ve were born for music, ve are the servants of your ears. Whenever you are sad, ve play fur you." Someone started whistling while Benedikt waited for the next verse. "If you live without sin, and give each other a hand; If you don't squint into the sun, a song vill be played for you." The crew started to sing with him. "Ve are the servants of your ears, ve are born for music. Whenever you are sad, ve play fur you."

Strangely, it was a relaxing song..

//I'm taking the Freisetzung back to Rheinland, I've been wanting to play it, but we can continue here.
