If you see me out there flyin' around in a little ship called Cid's Claw Don't be afraid to say hello! I'm Cid. I'm an old hand around these parts, though it won't seem it when ya see the piece of slag I'm flyin'. Liberty never did know how to make a ship. But I'm stuck in one for now. And so I'll be flyin it around, because I get bored sitting at home playing video games ya know? I figure I got this ship sitting out there in the landing pad, I might as well use it now and again no?
Ah know, it ain't much, but I'm not a man of many words. I got stars to pass. See you soon!
So, I takes off from Good Ol' Erie and right away I get a comm call from a passing Miner, offerin' me a job.
'I'll give ya Ten Kay per load, just shoot 'em der rocks and I'll hoover in that Helium and haul it planet-side. Whatcha say?' The mans voice hums.
I do some quick thinkin, and push the thoughts of how long it'll take me to fill the area with Helium, and how fast he can move. I've got the upper hand.
'I'll take Twenty-Five Kay a load, thanks. An' in exchange, you won't have to drop outta cruise, just swing thru and load and go.' I says back, matter of fact.
'Done, C'mon out and get'er firin'. I'll send transfer ever fourth load, due to local requirements and limitations.' Came the immediate response.
So I headed out to the field behind Erie, shot a few o' dem rocks. Well, truth be told, I filled the sky with Helium, it kept burstin in different colors as I used my maneuver thrusters. Quite a sight to be honest. But as luck would have it, his ship had a malfunctions and after less than a dozen trips he had to call it for diagnostics.
I'd still made enough to upgrade from the Flea I'd been floatin to one of them Liberty made trash collector's used to use. The Rhino. Flies like a brick, and can't mount the kinda fire power I'd like, but it too is a temporary thing. Soon as I can get enough I'll go grab a decent Freighter, I heard they still got a few of the old Drom's over at Bethlehem. I'll swing that way soon as I clear my bar tab here on Erie. Few more runs should cover it.
