The rings are decloaking effects (as you'll notice in an SP news report, Freeport 7 and those around it reported "ghost ships" on radar) and the ships are clearly Nomad.

I know... But I don't remember that. I remember saying to my friend who introduced me to FL,

"I want that ship and those missiles" and they were missiles. And I could have sworn it was a group of Rheinland Bombers.

Which is why I asked if it altered the story. "It" being the mod.
