I was just thinking about an idea while i was mining......You all know that the Vidar and the Rhienland pirate cruiser are almost virtually the same correct?
Why not keep the current corvo..and implement this design into the zoners with a different name...
We could change the corvo into a transport...Like a Civilian super armored transport...lower a few stats on it...increase the cargo capacity...this could be similar to the junker Salvager....
Could it work like this?
Personally I like the current design of the corvo..and the new design as well...Why not keep them both?

Seriously...Lower the armor to 170,000 or 160,000...increase the cargo load to around 3200, change the power core, lower 6 of the guns to gunboat status..keep the 2 on the top for cruiser....give it transport shields... and there yah go...
Name change to Condor or Phoenix or Penguin- and shazam....Civilian super armored transport
Good for researchers and people trading in the outer systems....a secondary choice to the BWT maybe?

fair point - maybe lore suggesting zoners are the bad guys isn t really the way to go... especially not players associated with bretonians - after that blanket bounty desaster last year and the 2 months of flaming.

anyway - the new corvo HAS a dish below...
I was thinking along those lines too.
Ah. It has to. Apologies, Blue Solution and old eyes.
Thank you for clearing that up. XD.
Also, if you want replacement suggestions for lore, I am sure many players can suggest ideas. I would, but I just poured myself about five drinks, and all I can think about is how much I want that sixth drink.
nah - there is no need to alter the lore - it was just about the other model which sits around on my HDD. - which also looks more sophisticated - yet very similar to the corvo.
if no other research ship based on the corvo is introduced - the corvo lore can stay as it is.
But still....I think both ships should be able to be bought...the new Corvo has an aggressive look to it...while the old one has the design for a research vessel..

Quote:With each passing generation the wilds seem to become slightly tamer, the dark spaces between stars lose their song and fall mute beneath the thrum of passing commerce and freeports that hung undisturbed for years crawled with passengers roaming between suddenly near ports of call. With discovered resources that fueled their way of life suddenly contested between parties that could not be challenged and individuals who sought the solitude away from the drum of daily life finding themselves hosts to throngs moves were made to redouble the effort of expanding.
The Corvo was crafted to meet the needs of a relatively economic deep space faring vessel, designed to voyage under conventional drives to remote stars to see what might be seen. With an emphasis on interior comfort and reliability, these vessels are designed to sustain themselves for decades. Family vessels built to be taken beyond the stars, they are not put into the hands of parties suspect of employing them as weapons of war. Individuals seeking to tarnish the reputation of the craft thusly might find their own journeys to be short indeed.
I'm confused... I thought the ship's lore was that it functioned as a mid to deep space colony vessel?
Group of people jump in. Group of people fly that-a-way. Group of people find a patch of homestead with some resources that can make the trip worthwhile.
Sort of like a poor man's juggy... Insofar as it could be considered an inexpensive ship.

Or that was my impression. I might have missed something. In which case the infocard will need updating.
