Log 1: Evader: Remembrance and Escape
I slid behind the crate. There was the Arrow, an experimental Wraith with special cooling system and a special powerplant. Outfitted with Hornvipers, Mini Razor, and Nuclear Mines, it was as deadly as a piranha. The repair crew left for a break. I ran into the cockpit which barely let my six-foot frame fit. I activated the engines. They purred into life for the first time. I prepped the planetary atmosphere departing software. Then I saw repair crew running toward me with a tripod mounted Javelin missile launcher. I laughed. I whispered, Weapons Prep. A green light indicating that I could fire at any time came on. Thumbing the safety off, I pressed the trigger. Six tachyon shots raced toward the crew setting up the Javelin. I then fired the Mini Razor, blowing the complex to the hell fanatics deserve. I then activated the planetary atmosphere departing software, after thumbing the safety on. I took off from New Berlin. I quickly took the tradelane to Dortmund Station. I arrived at Dortmund and took the tradelane toward the Hamburg Jump Gate. I caught a comm transmission, Admiral, Four wings have been dispatched from the Battleship Moselle; we are jumping to New Berlin. A reply shot back, Get on it! I want him dead, immediately, but make sure to record the scanning of the Arrow before you destroy it! I dont want our hard work to be destroyed! Got it, soldier?!! The reply was crisp, We have never failed you, sir. All wings move into Claw Format. Record the scan, and destroy. Radio silence from here on out. I immediately broke out of the tradelane and said, Position Report, as I turned ninety degrees, heading toward the Hamburg Jump Hole. Top right corner of Sector 3D, came the computers reply. Perfect, I was headed to the Hamburg Jump Hole. I thumbed the cruise engines activation button. I gave a command, Direct All Systems to Cruise Engines. This forced the powerplant and cooling system to ignore everything except Cruise Engines and minimal Life Support. The speed increased 700. The Jump Hole quickly came in sight. I killed the engines. I was drifting at 700. I gave another command, Prepare to Jump. I hit the Jump Hole and entered the odd second dimension in which I travelled to Hamburg in seconds. I reappeared in space. I thumbed the Cruise Engines on. I raced toward Alster Shipyard. Dump Power to Cruise Engines. The speed jumped to 700. Remove Safeguards. The speed jumped to 1400. I caught another comm transmission, Curse that experimental Wraith!!! A rebuke came, Did I not say radio silence, soldier?!!! A new voice came on, Leave the Arrow to me. Admirals orders, officer. The officer replied, Fine, but dont expect me to take responsibility. The reply was crisp, You wont be held to the success of this mission by the honor of the oath you took or the honor of your rank. I activated my long range callsign sensor. A ping came on. I took a look at the callsign. Sword was its callsign. So you sent my brother to kill me, Dad. How foolish of you, you always knew I could kill him in a dogfight. The Sword was another experimental Wraith. However its design was most effective in pack hunting. Mine on the other hand was most effective alone. One of the reasons I took the Arrow and not the Sword. The main reason was that the Arrow was built more to my liking. Voice commands could do a lot, freeing the pilot to concentrate on the main activity of piloting and fighting. A minor reason was that the Arrow already had my voice imprinted on its memory chip. I took the tradelane to Planet Hamburg. I then got a shock. The Battleship Westfalen was waiting for me. It issued a command, Cut your engines or be destroyed. I gave a command to my ship, Stack. Trans shield toward the Westfalen. Split systems between cannon and shields. Kill engines. Activate thruster. Set waypoint at Bering Jump Gate. Execute. It executed all of my commands at the same instant. I let loose one Mini Razor shot at the bridge. The Westfalen started to move to protect its bridge. I activated the magnetic shot bending software. It started to bend the Mini Razor shot toward the bridge. The Westfalen activated its cruise engines. I gave a command to my ship, In System Jump to Waypoint. Dump All Energy. Remove Safeguards. This was a daring move. First, because this took every little bit of energy it had. Second, because this piece of equipment was untested meaning I could be stuck in that second dimension until I could build another charge up and rip another hole out there, but by that time it would take me out of the Sirus sector. The ship went dark. The small jump hole appeared and drew my ship into it. I rocketed in the second dimension. I appeared in front of the Jump Gate. I looked at my ships console. My brother was using the same piece of Jumping equipment and would be beside me in a second. I took the Jump Gate. I arrived in the Bering system. I quickly took the tradelane. I knew I was safe because Swords powerplant was inferior to mine. It would take him about 30 seconds to build up enough charge to activate the engines. By that time I would be in Texas. I started to think about what had happened. My mother had been killed by my father as she tried to escape to Liberty. My father was a fanatical Admiral of the Rheinland Military. I had seen my mother killed and knew I would have to honor her by escaping to Liberty like our plan was. I knew my best bet would be the Arrow, so I took it. My dad would of course send my brother in the Sword to kill me, even though he knew my brother would never succeed. I raced into Texas and then into New York and finally into Pennsylvania as my mothers plan called for. I went past Philadelphia Station. As I took the tradelane to Planet Erie I saw the Gettysburg move toward the Ralston Field. When I arrived at Erie, I saw the green trail of a Rheinland ship heading from Planet Tremont. I cut my engines and waited for it. A transmission came, Brother, you have lost, this time I will win. I replied, You know I will beat you, brother. You have always lost against me. I whispered to my ship, Divert systems to weapons. Kill engines and prep thrusters, on after thought, Scan the Sword, even though I fully knew its loadout by heart. When I scanned it, I received a shock, and I sent a transmission, Brother, do you actually dare to come at me with only a half load of Nanobots? A reply came back, Radiation repairs, Brother. I had no choice but to do that so I could intercept you. So you are a fool, brother. I gave another command to my ship, Remove safety IFF friendly lock. As my brother came in range, I opened fire with a barrage of Hornviper shots and a Mini Razor shot. My brother replied with his Firekisses and his Mini Razor. There in front of Erie we dueled hard. My brother ran out of Shield Batteries. 45 seconds later, I used my last shield battery. I shot off his shield on the next attacking run. He shot mine off on the next joust. I hit him with a Mini Razor shot. He used up all of his Nanobots. Somehow he locked in behind me and started pounding me. I was forced to use all of my Nanobots. I hugged Harrisburg Station and broke his lock. We both lined up for one last joust, knowing one would die and one would survive. A comm transmission came in, This is the Captain of the Gettysburg. Cut your fighting, immediately. I looked at my scanner. The Gettysburg was 10k away. I called, So what will it be, Brother, death or a Libertonian court room? He called back, It will be victory, Brother, nothing else. I replied, You sorely wish that, Brother. We activated our engines. We both dumped power into our Mini Razors, making them glow at the tip. We ran at full speed at each other. My brother fired his Mini Razor first. He led the shot to where I would be in a few seconds. I activated my thruster. Cutting across my brothers flight path, I fired my Mini Razor at point blank at my brother. My brothers escape pod launched. I made a run at it, firing my Hornvipers. It burst open, and I knew my brother had died. I activated the Docking Software. As I lost control, two explosions rocked my ship, Nuclear Mines, curse my brother. Everything went black.
Look at me, remembering my familys history. The Arrow was destroyed without a trace except in my head. I moved away from the Erie Hospitals window. A nice beautiful female, of about 18 years of age, walked in with a food tray. I asked her, When will I be released? She replied, You wont be. You are under arrest by the captain of the Gettysburg. You are forced to take part of a hearing sixteen days from now for killing a civilian. You have to convince the Admiralty of your innocence. I knew the Admiralty would never believe my story, so I had to escape. I walked over to the food tray. There was the steak knife, and there was a pistol on her belt. It was shameful to have to kill the girl, but I knew I must. I acted like I was going to relieve her of the tray. With my left hand I missed the handle and grabbed the steak knife; I ran the steak knife through her throat. With my right hand I yanked the pistol out of her belt. I strolled out of my room calmly. Everything was fine until the front desk. The male clerk yelled, HEY! You are not allowed out of your room. I turned the pistol on him and fired. He dropped. I fired on three other civilians, setting off panic. I ran out of the hospital. I ran toward the landing pad, a mere five yards away. There was a Starflier, prepped for launch on the launch pad. However there were four Liberty Navy ensigns running, pistols drawn, at me. I fired on one, dropping one. I fired at the other three, before they could react, dropping each and every one with skill and precision. I ran to the Starflier and took off.
After days of flying slowly to avoid Liberty Navy patrols, I arrived in Kusari; finally, I sped up. However, my Starflier was taking a beating from the Jump Hole jumping and the deceleration from tradelane. I could hear it groan every time I exited a tradelane, Jump Hole, or Jump Gate. I ignored it until I got to New Tokyo. Grinning with a crazy plan in my head, I docked with the docking ring. I landed and ordered the crew to take it off the landing pad. I waited in the shadows until someone brought out a Combat Service Vehicle. Suddenly, I drew my pistol and fired at the owner and the crew. They dropped without a sound. I ran into the cockpit and took off. I proceeded without a hitch, so I decided to see if I could repurpose some funds. My natural hacking skill helped, and I repurposed 120 million. I arrived in Kyushu. I knew my memory was being put to the test. I hunted for the Tau-23 Jump Hole. I found it easily. I jumped. I exited and moved toward Java Station. I docked with Java Station. I went over to the Ship Dealer. Im looking for a Ravens Talon, sir. He replied, We have it along with a Spatial. A Spatial, that name rung a bell, but I could not tell where I had heard it. I asked, What is so special about a Spatial? He replied, It mounts six guns; three turrets; a Class 6 Barrier Shield or Class 10 Heavy Fighter Shield; and a fighter torpedo, a bomber torpedo, or Cruise Disruptor. It also has six long-burn Ageira engines and a cryo chamber. Why this might be a good idea. I bought it, along with Purple Goddess guns and turrets, a SNAC, Armor MKVIII, two Nuclear Mine Droppers, and Enhanced CM. Now I quickly moved without fear of recognization and quickly entered Liberty again. I headed back to Pennyslvania. I headed over to Allentown. I got the equipment to sell me a Pirate ID. Next I headed over to bartender. Would it be possible for me to use this place as a base for my Pirate raids? And could I have a small lab? He replied, Of course you can use this place as a base. Here is your key for your room. Next about the lab, we could give it to you for say, 96 million? I replied, Deal. I set out on my mission to ruin Liberty, one bank account at a time, one trader at a time

I landed on Manhattan with a borrowed CSV from the John Hamilton, Allentowns bartender. I first went to a clothes store, looking for a full-length gray cloak with a cowl. I found one and stole it because I was not even going to spare Liberty six credits. When I got outside, I put it on and threw the cowl up. I first walked over to Pilgrims Loan Service. An old woman was working there, and I was easily able to secure a 75 million loan. Then I walked over to the CIBC building. This time there was a much younger female working, and, after a slightly more thorough inspection, gave me a loan of 50 million. I smiled as I left, knowing the 120 million requisitioned would haunt them some day. As I walked back to my truly borrowed CSV, I saw two Rheinland agents walking up to a door. They rang the door bell. I quickly moved after them knowing they were up to something. I had seen that gait so many times that I knew they were on an assassination attempt. However this was going to be a horrible day for them. I prepared my newly made carbine, a four-foot long plasma rifle with a laser aiming device and a huge(in power) and small (in size) power plant, for a trial run. I listened intently for the muffled sound of the pistol they were probably using. I heard it. I started to run. I heard it again. I knew I was out of time. I flat out sprinted toward the door, pulling out my carbine. I fired it once at the door which melted, allowing me, to without breaking stride, jump in the house. There was the first Rheinland agent. He fired his dart pistol. I dodged and replied with a burst stream of plasma. He burned to death. I quickly proceeded into the house. I proceeded toward the staircase with my carbine ready. I listened carefully for his voice. I heard it. He was saying, If you move, boy, or make a sound, I will send so many darts in you, the LPI will not know that there was a teenager here. I heard a whimper. I quickly got my carbine ready for a double shot. I pressed the button to dump power for a quick recharge. I fired once at the door, at point-blank range. The carbine gave a small whining noise, indicating it was ready for shot number two. On instinct and nothing else, I fired again, blindly, and then dropped to one knee. A grenade went flying above my head, exactly where my head had been a second ago. I then heard screaming. I moved into the smoke, hoping I had not killed the teenager. As the smoke cleared up, I saw the boy still alive. However he was in shock, looking at the burning Rheinland agent. I forcefully removed him from the house and took him to the CSV. He said nothing as we went through New York. It was not until Allentown, he said his first words, Sir, I should thank you for saving me. I replied bitterly, Anything to repay Rheinland. He replied, Why? I told him my story. He smiled and offered, Can I do anything to help a fellow hater of Rheinland? I replied, Ill get you a Dromedary, and you can supply some money to me, ok? He replied, Absolutely. As he walked away I asked, What can I call you? He replied, EAvenger
Log 5: LSF Agent In Training Eridan Landal: An Encounter That Changed My Life Forever
I had parked my Guardian in front of Norfolk Shipyard, thinking about how I had been accepted into the Liberty Security Force. Suddenly I picked up three Rogues flying into the Badlands. I activated my cruise engines, and flew toward them. As we proceeded into the Badlands, they suddenly turned toward the Pennsylvania Jump Gate. We jumped. As I reappeared in space, I saw them moving left, at cruise speed. I raced after them. After a few seconds they stopped. Suddenly, I found myself out numbered thirteen to one. They started to issue some crazy statements; I started to compile a log and prepared to upload it to show how I had been killed. I got one comm. transmission, Engage. I knew I was never going against that many odds, so I did nothing. ENGAGE, AGENT!! I was startled, and I prepared my ship for a fight. I fired my Magma Hammers towards the leader. His shields buckled, and then his ship blew up. I activated my engines, and I again fired at the next guys shields. Suddenly, purple shots were hitting him also. He quickly blew up. I dueled another guy. He blew up real nicely. Another explosion complemented that. My unknown helper was helping me. Then the nine Rogues left focused on me. Ones shields disappeared, and then the purple shots blew him up. However when the eight left turned toward that location, they (and me included) saw nothing. They activated their engines searching for my helper. I locked in behind another Rogue and pounded him to dust. Suddenly, a Spatial broke free of the dark side of an asteroid and pounded one guy to dust, first dropping his shields using a SNAC, and then killing him using Purple Goddesses guns. We took care of the six Rogues left easily. I cut my engines and waited for my helper to do the same. He stopped in front of me, all guns and the SNAC tracking me. I realized suddenly how the first leader had blown up immediately after I dropped his shields and how the fifth guys shield had disappeared. I also knew I was outgunned, out powered, and dead, if I tried to run, so I could do nothing, and it was his timing that was running the show. Anyway, he must have been waiting for something before he started talking. I scanned his ship and saw the Pirate ID, which was not the thing you wanted to see when you are in my situation. He started talking, You okay, agent? I replied, Its AIT, not agent and, yes, Im fine. Sorry for the rank confusion, Im glad youre intact, and what is your name? Eridan Landal, and what can I call you? Evader.
Reading Computer: {EDITS DETECTED, DISPLAYING}{NAME: THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COIN}{AUTHOR:EVADER}
Eh, sorry for editing this record, Eridan. I needed to explain something to the people accessing this.
When Eridan asked my name, I encountered a very strange effect; I could not remember my name or anybody elses name except those I had met after the blowing up of the Arrow. As I hunted for a name to tell Eridan, I decided to use the name Evader because of the skill I had shown on my escape from Rheinland.
Reading Computer: {EDIT ENDED}{CONTINUING WITH ORIGINAL LOG}
As he said this, the name flickered in where the callsign should have been. I offered, Is there anything I can do for the savior of my life? You could provide information on the LSF for me. Will do. Where should I come if I need to visit you? Allentown, Eridan. See you. I will be expecting your first communication, soon. See you. We both activated our engines and flew at full speed in opposite direction. He headed to Allentown; I headed to the New York Jump Gate.
Goodwill: Activating long range communication system. Link established with EAvenger, which is a very odd name if you ask me, sir.
Evader: I doubt if it is his real name, but I dont need your input, Goodwill. Send transmission: Are you willing to do the job?
Goodwill: Huh? Are you in your right mind, sir?
Evader: Of course I am; now DO IT, Goodwill!
Goodwill: :-( , sending out transmission.
Goodwill: Incoming transmission: I have been researching records to there, but before I update you on that, who will run my ship?
Evader: Send transmission: Goodwill can do that. He would be more than capable enough.
Goodwill: Youre sending me away? What have I done wrong? :-(
Evader: Nothing, now just do it!!
Goodwill: SendingReceiving incoming transmission: Fine by me. Now on the research you asked me to do. There are five records indicating a probable system. All of them end uncompleted. But I have narrowed it down to one field, thankfully. By the way if you can get a miner over there, it would be a great field of iridium to mine.
Evader: Send transmission: Ill look into it. However, are you willing to undertake the risk? And if you are, come to Allentown so we can install Goodwill into your ship.
Goodwill: The risk? What risk, sir? And really why are you sending me out of here? What have I done wrong to deserve this? I have served you loyally! :-(
Evader: FOR THE LAST TIME, GOODWILL! YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG!! NOW JUST OBEY WHAT I TELL YOU!!!
Goodwill: I do obey what you say, sir. :-(
Evader: I SHOULD HAVE SAID IMMEDIATELY, GOODWILL!!!!!!!!!
Goodwill: Oh, you meant immediately, oh, ok, sir. But still why are you sending me away?
Evader: Let me enunciate: Just send the transmission, immediately!
Goodwill: :-(, fine sending
Goodwill: I think the connection was lost Let me amend that... Im receiving one signal: Im ready to do so. Im coming home, Evader.
Evader: Good, now break the connection and find Agent Eridan Landal.
Goodwill: Doing so Found him. Location: Houston Rehab Center.
Evader: What in the world? Rehab center, did you say, Goodwill?
Goodwill: Yes, sir. Running second check Wait Yes, location confirmed. He is at the Houston Rehab Center. There can be no doubt about it. There is nothing that can falsify this.
Evader: Send transmission: Why in the world are you at Houston, and of all places, the rehab center?
Eridan Landal: Im using a computer so we can cut out Goodwill. Anyway, Ive had a couple of broken legs from an escape pod launch. So what did I do so good that I needed to receive a personal call?
Evader: I wanted to see if you could get me Magma Hammers so I could fit them on my Spatial.
Eridan Landal: That would be hard because all Liberty guns have tracking and sale devices, at least until I can get some people to give me six and three clean Magma Hammer V guns and turrets. However, if you can give me about a month Ill bribe some people into my side.
Evader: Sounds good. In a month, Eridan, see you then.
