After a mission, I was returning home when a NPC policeman ordered my cargo. As a mercenary, if I had fought him for it, what would be the ramifications? Would all hell have broken loose or would I have been ok?
depends where it was. In fornt of a major planet, you would have to fly hard to get away in a fighter or bomber..been there done that Manhatten + Taiiden bomber =:crazy:

Yeah, that's something that's irked me for a while. While it may be slightly more realistic for Navy personnel to seize live cargo, it probably wouldn't for pirates, and it creates an interesting little glitch where you see Liberty Navy Patrols shooting at BHG Pirhanas because they asked the Navy to ditch their admirals. I'd like it to go, honestly, but I think it's been voted to stay a few times previously.
