And you'll get it. Last example of myself - Nemesis was on a search n' destroy op in Alpha. Had to disappear before the dreads showed up, so I moved into the unknown. (was a nomad gun/codie hunt in reality) The battlestar got cut off from tau-37, so I had to chose another way - the nomad words. Cut thru them NPCs like a hot flak through duraluminium... Finally docked with FP11 for repairs/resupply and went back home. Next time - I think I'll take the gunboats for a scouting op - to loot some wrecks... ( read - tactical recon to determine nomad defense weaknesses)

Thanks everyone for response. I really appreciate your help, constructive criticism and suggestions. I think we are doing fine for the start but there is much work to do. Certain things to be fixed, some changes to be made. It's a work in progress. I've already taken few suggestions and have considered few others. It's been only a few days, so thing will get smoother and better. See you all in space!

I realy like the fight in tohoku a few day's ago, Only it cost one of my charrecters (so you owe me one:P)

As, As i did a story aboud it.... give's me some idea to RP on it

So i am thinking positive aboud it that it would work for you guy's

I believe you in this regard, Yuri. Your suggestion that folk like Tannik Seldon, and "Alice Spire" are taking a bold RP approach to the problem is refreshing, as is their attempts to communicate with the Keepers and/or nomads in general. You stated in the Keepers Faction post that your RP will be dependent to a large extent on what "we" as the community do in our own RP. I feel that this "symbiotic" approach is healthy.

On the other hand, I feel that some of the RP regarding the "nomad threat", the danger to FP11, and the handwringing in general concerning you guys was responsible in part for creating the "lynch mob" mentality that we experienced recently.

Regarding the suggestion that the Keepers should make "friends" in Sirius, I have one serious concern. I respect the Phantoms' history and RP on Discovery, both forums and server, completely. However, I feel that any "alliance" or even friendly status between the Phantoms and the Keepers would raise more than a few eyebrows in the community.

There are several reasons for this. The Phantoms are a very strong, well-coordinated Faction in their own right. I suspect that the Keepers are also excellent pilots with the necessary tactical communications. I worry that a combination of the two would create in essence an "uber-faction" which would make the NovaPG's blitzkrieg techniques look like a Sunday school picnic.

I assume it is also no secret that a lot of veteran players, and Admins and moderators, are members of the Phantoms. Now we have an Admin as one of the leaders of the Keepers. I understand that Bulldog's role with the Keepers is in large part a "watchdog" role, as well as that of a leader; but I am concerned that any collusion between Phantoms and Keepers in-game or in Forum RP might lead to questions about "croneyism", shall we say. I hope that it would never come to a question of propriety; but some of the "mystery" and "secrecy" that you speak of, Yuri, makes me wonder.

I would prefer it not happen. At least, not until this "beta test" of the Keepers has proceeded for sufficient time to prove their viability and purpose in the community.

I personally respect all you guys (and foxy gal...), but I just felt the need to assume the Devil's Advocate position on this one.

Cheers,
Mal

Edit: Oh, and Yuri, I realize that you are very passionate about "your baby", the Keepers; but several of your preceding posts on the subject have sounded a bit "preachy" and "high horse", if I may. Some of it actually made me feel as if I were being "talked down to", or even dictated to. I gently suggest that you don't wanna come off like a certain DIC Rep we have encountered recently. Fair enough? Mal.

Thank you Mal, and I'm sure the Phantoms will be doing their own thing as usual, no need for them to be involved at all ...
Thanks ladies and gents for all your helpful suggestions, and I'm assured all of it has been taken on board.
As this is a beta test, everything is still very flexible, and all of it will be addressed.
Going to lock this one for now, and another will be scheduled in another week or so.
