' Wrote:"Good Day Julia, Glad you found your way to the Luminarium. Come take a seat ill be right with you."
Noctis turned towards Bladus.
"Put it in a case and send it off to Toledo. They will know what to do with it. Good Job."
Noctis turned round again.
"Drinks all around Barman. Preferably the best there is to offer to our fine guests!"
Noctis Looked towards the two people talking about the rumours at the Freeport.
"We do not have a Spiritual Wealth at all. We follow lifes challenges for us and hit them head on when need be. Tell me, where do you come from?"
- I cannot say certainly. I represent myself here and I have no place I call home, travelling around Sirius while attending to my work takes all of my time
She stopped for a second and looked around if she was intending to find someone
- I believe your highness already has lots of important matters to discuss at the moment as well as ourselves. We would continue our discussion the next time we meet. So long, good health
She nodded to her companion and disappeared into the vortex of guests. Noctis could see the hat of the giant man for a few minutes, until it was swallowed by the forest of the crowd
Kell looked at the screen on his desk intently, On screen was a news broadcast playing the unfolding events in the Omicrons.
So, the Zoner Consortium decided not to disband after all did they..? That should make our lives easier and allow us a more solid grip on Corinth He thought.
Just as he was finishing the thought, the comm line on his desk beeped, he hit the listen button
"What is it?" Kell asked
"We've arrived at the Luminarium Colonel" the voice replied.
"De-cloak the ship then and hail the liner Ghost" Kell replied.
"Aye aye sir" Ghost responded.
So, Caelum must really have an over-inflated ego, if he fancies himself an emperor, this is no empire, but nonetheless, while untrustworthy, with PROVIDER about to go into action and Project BROADSWORD beginning, we cannot afford the resources to watch the nomads, however they do, and i think Rebecca and the tech heads would like to get their hands on a suit of that battle armor of theirs... Kell let the thought trail and left his ready room, heading for the bridge, on his way, he spoke into a throat mic.
"Matthias, get your team together" He spoke into the mic.
"Yes sir, Red team will be ready to go in five" The brooding tactical officer responded.
Kell continued walking down to the bridge and arrived at the doors.
Never can be too sure, besides, maybe a show of strength is in order, considering the Talon armor is pretty intimidating.. Kell let the thought trail off again and opened the door to the bridge. He was greeted by a flurry of salutes from his bridge crew. Looking from left to right, he named off the bridge crew mentally. On the far left, Major Rachel Whitcomb, chief medical officer, and occasional stand in for Matthias, his tactical officer. Next to her was Commander Jessica Donnelly, the chief engineer of the Neith II. In the middle, somewhat fittingly, was Colonel Rebecca Tainer, the Science officer and Kell's wife. The on the far right was Lt. Commander Matthias Shaw, tactical officer, and an old friend of Kell's from his days in the LSF. Finally, there was Jack "Ghost" Williams, the helmsman. Jack was the joker of the bunch, and was always appreciated for his dry, if rather sarcastic, sense of humor. These people were teh few he trusted with his life, they'd served together for over a year on various assignments, the Gugnir, the original Neith, the Neith II, and now they'd be transferring to the carrier Hestia's Fire, the new Wedjat command center.
Hard to think we're going to be transferring from her soon, considering the Hestia is nearly finished, you've served us well NeithHe stopped the thought when he realized his bridge crew was staring at him.
"I'm alright, just reminiscing, lets get to this shall we?" Kell declared.
As if on cue, Rebecca hit a button on her console, opening up a video transmission with teh Shadow liner "Luminarium", on the other end, a human being of a rather strong build clad in dark clothing appeared
"Unidentified vessel, identify yourself" The black figure spoke.
"This is the Order Vessel Neith II, I am her commanding officer, Colonel Kell Tainer, i'm here to see Noctis" Kell replied back.
"Colonel Tainer, we've been expecting you" The figure returned "Docking bay 4 has been resolved for your shuttle, welcome to the Luminarium" the figure finished.
"Thank you, we'll be over shortly" Kell answered
Kell motioned to Rebecca to terminate the transmission, which she did promptly
Kell turned to Matthias and began to speak
"Is your team ready?" Kell asked
"Yes sir, red team is waiting in the hangar bay" Matthias responded
"Then lets go" Kell replied, waving Rebecca and Donelly to follow along.
The four proceeded down to the hangar bay, where they were met with the imposing figures of red team wearing Talon combat armor. Red team was one of the three highly trained "Nova" teams assigned to the Neith II still. Blue, Grey and White teams had already been re-assigned to the Hestia, and were providing security at Livadia while the more sensitive systems were being installed.
The Nova teams respresented the epitome of Order combat technology and special forces training, and were exclusively used by the Wedjat for their operations. As the second in command to Admiral Xander,Kell had access to more, however, he had the other groups assigned to Gallia, in preparation for provider. That, and he flat out preferred the usage of good old marines.
As the group arrived in the hangar bay, Red team assembled outside of the Courier class assault shuttle. The lead figure in jet black armor nodded to Kell as an acknowledgment. The Nova's, trained for isolated deep cover missions, weren't used to authority. Kell tolerated their lack of protocol, for that matter, he tolerated such a lack of protocol among all those under his command, unlike most commanders, he preferred to identify with his men, instead of being set apart.
"Are your men ready Sergeant?" Kell asked the lead figure.
"Yes they are sir" The Nova replied.
"Then move out" Kell answered the NCO.
The team boarded the vessel and proceeded to the luminarium.
Upon reaching the Liner, the group exited the ship and were greeted by a party of Centurions, that took them to the throne room
Noctis excused himself from the current discussion and was notified by a guard that Kell has arrived. He proceeded to a table set up specifically for them and sat down at the head of it waiting for them to enter the hall.
Hangman would stay longer here, but he knew he could'nt. There's still work to be done. He stood up and
walked to the emperor, enjoying at the same time the sounds of happy people around him.
"I'm sorry emperor, but i can't stay any longer. Got a call from a client. I have to go. It was a pleasure to meet
you. If you would need sometime any additional help by anything, don't hesitate to call me. And for you...
i'll work for free." he smiled and streched his hand out for a handshake again.
2 Months later Noctis recieved a transmission from the drydock. The very words he has wanting to be heard for a long time.
"Its ready to depart."
Noctis smiled gracefully and frantically woke up a few other Shadow personel to go inspect the new vessel. The Luminarium Mk2 looked better than ever. The inside halls were covered in gothic archetecture and gave off a warmly feeling of security.
In orbit of Toledo the Luminarium opened its docking ports for all allies, friends and strangers who wanted to know more about the Shadow empire remnants.
