Well then,
As I'm sure you all know, ordinary pc speaker are : leftspeaker--------rightspeaker--------outlet. Now, only my left speaker works. The volume and the Tone are on the right one, and the little lights go on when I turn the speakers on. I tried jiggeling the plug on the pc but that doesn't work, and I checked the mute settings etc. Any ideas? I'm hearing lasers in my left ear now...
thanks in advance.

You need to do some troubleshooting here if you want to figure out what is wrong. First thing I would do is unplug your speakers from the computer and plug in a pair of headphones in the same jack that your speaker were plugged in to. This way you can determine if the issues is with your speakers. If you're still losing sound on one side it could be a number of things. Sound Drivers, maybe, though I don't think so. Problem with sound card, possibly. Most likely, again if your speakers still don't work, is that the jack you connect to on the computer is faulty. Sometimes the springiness in there gets mucked up or something comes loose. I would take it apart and have a looksee in that case. Hope this helps!
