''My name is Emma. Emma Colwell. I also believe I'll stick around here some to learn more about the customs, how I can blend in more easily. Barrow can wait, I'm still young...'' She then gazed at the ceiling, contemplating her options. She was satisfied here, and she had a friend. Or, at least, someone she cared for, other than Krauser. ''And I've flied an Eagle before, so I should be just fine. Though, if you don't mind, I'd have to fly to the Freeport 2 later on. I have to say goodbye to someone. You can fly with me, of course, if you think I'll even consider fleeing... but, you have your friends to save, and I don't think they'll last for too long without a backup. Good luck, Coral. I'll stay here and keep trying to work on my accent.'' She smiled lightly, amused and visibly pleased by her new life. She then patted her back again before going back to Coral's room to watch some more movies.
Coral smiled. "I've been out before. They're fine, no worries. We produced a lot of scrap metal though.
So, it's Emma Colwell. That doesn't sound bad at all. Alright. While YOU do whatever you want to do, i'll get to Refugio, take a shower and see if i can catch the boss there so we can get you a new ID.
By the way.. once you gained our trust and a ship, you're free to do whatever you like. Though Bering is a dangerous turf. You'll need a hand. Ya.. haven't seen Barrow for a while.. why not. Who is it by the way?" Coral looked a little caring, but just as much as necessary to make a friendly impression. Her neck still hurted and she could barely turn her head.
Gapper was hustling down the halls, clutching some shabby leather case the boss gave to him. Apparently it was a passport for some 'Emma' chick. To be honest, he really didn't care, he just knew that John was breathing down his neck. Death Adder was a friendly fellow - easy to get along with and all that jazz - but he still knew how to shoot; and he knows where Gapper sleeps, so he does what he says.
He came across the doorway to the room, where Coral was supposed to be talking to the girl. Sure enough, he saw one of the three women on Ouray. Of course, she was seeing that Phantom freak, so she was off limits. Not to mention she had a bad habit of turning off all the guys on-base in one way or another. Gapper wore a cup most times just to be safe. The other two had similar tactics.
Gapper moved up and tapped Coral's shoulder, passing her the leather parcel.
"It's from the boss," he nods towards the girl, "Guess it's for her."
Awesome! That's yours indeed, she said, pointing the case right under the Krauts nose. Smells good eh? Smells like freedom. Success.. mhhhh...! Now... The ship will be ready tomorrow as promised. You got the day off today. Use it to learn. I'm moving out to get us an engine for your eagle.
Gapper! Good that you're here! Coral laid her arms around his neck. You don't mind flying with me, don't ya? We need an eagle engine. Afterwards you can take the day off aswell. What'ya say?
She couldn't stop smiling as they were walking down the corridor straight to the Hangar.
Having still some concerns about the Kraut, a little flying would be great. She SO wanted a new hair dye.
