Battlecruisers are Cruisers per definition. The strongest ships now to own without a license. I would vote for a Battlecruiser license.:P.
@ Carlos (again): It was the honourable Admiral Jacky Fisher, who introduced the Battlecruiser and he had very precisely imaginations, how to use them.
They were build to match ships with same speed but weaker armament and to be faster than ships with same armement but heavier armour and lower speed.
I try to translate a spell by Admiral Fisher:
"The perfect warship must have the heaviest main artillery and the smallest second artillery. Its defensive qualities must been offered to speed, which is its best defense."
The british BC's have proofed this spell right in the Falkland battle 1914 against a german cruiser squadron led by Spee, where the german cruiser were outgunned and outmanoeuvered by two BC accompanied by smaller cruiser.
They have also proofed this spell wrong in the Skagerrak battle 1916, where britains have lost three of them, because of their thin armour. Well, no ship is faster than a fired heavy artillery granate. So BC were not perfect.
