Can I Texture a model in Lightwave and import the textured model as an object file into Milkshape 1.7.6 then save it as an ms3d file from milkshape so someone can hit box the model in CMP?

I ask this because I am no closer to figuring out how to texture in Milkshape then I was a week ago and I'm closer to figuring out out in Lightwave. I found some tutorals on google for milkshape but too many navigation assumptions are made and its a different (maybe paid) version they are teaching to use.

Very few people texture in MS3D. I personally use 3DS Max. Any model exported as .obj or .3ds keeps their textures.

?

It works fine for me, never had any issues with it. Sometimes .obj has given me model screwups though...
