Currently I'm playing Soul Silver via an emulator on my PC, which is the same generation opposite of gold. And the emulator was free... You can actually download GBA, DS and other emulators, along with full libraries of their games. Not by torrents either. Dunno why, but I've never trusted them (or had the internet connection to use them properly:dry:). That would be a way to combine your love of Pokemon with the PC I guess.
And BlackWidow, they'll give you a lot less for a 360 Arcade than a Limited Edition Halo Reach 360, which by all accounts, must be quite new anyway.
' Wrote:No fibre optic lines here, also they don't give me more than 2mbps here, same as Sky, BT and TalkTalk are the few 'reliable' ones here.
I feel for you. I remember the days before super-duper speed broadband. Which town in Wales? I heard the area around Aberswyrth (Or however you spell it.) is getting fibre optic.
Also. You should have got an emulator and roms. Would've have saved you money.
I've been playing the original Pokemon Blue, and I'm having a great time with it. I actually only got the game recently from a freind who just happened to have two cartridges, and I figured I could dig out my old GameBoy Advance and give it a shot. It's my first introduction to the Pokemon series, and I can definitely see how it can be such an appealing game to you.
Of course, I'll be keeping my 360, thank you very much.
' Wrote:How much??? Looks like you got a great deal..Most games stores only offer £50-£60 trade in for a 360
Aye it was a Halo Reach Limited Edition 360 250Gb console, out on September way. Gave in a couple of games too.
Older 'chunky' consoles get pennies with the slim ones out now.

I'm not far from Llanelli, south Carmarthenshire. Aberystwyth is a fair trek because of all the small roads.
I have used emulators before and have sworn off them because I'd rather get stuff people pay millions to develop and take years to create. I used to emulate to get a taste of the game, and use P2P to test games on my old rig, now I get them with confidence.
Emulation is a sketchy topic, I won't get into much here.

I've owned Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Ruby and Sapphire. Typically only Pokemon and Tetris with some Mario complemented my GBA libraries.
The Heart Gold is the newest jump into the 'new' gameboys, still a good experience over mouse and keyboard on PC. I can lay in bed rather than on an uncomfortable chair.
