What about you just read the post right above yours?
Shotgun-like weapons are quite possible, as I described.

(Edit: Not exactly as was written in the first post, but even better)

To EVERYONE in this thread.

Learn to read!?!

Q_Q!?!

That said, I think its an interesting idea... there are many balancing problems to consider in the fact that is would actually SUCK against transports and GBs due to the fact that its just a big projectile with 1/6 of normal damage delt. I think there are too many issues that would arise out of this for a gun like this to be put into the mod, but still, very interesting idea.

AND DEAR GOD PLEASE LEARN HOW TO READ PEOPLE...

Q_Q this is sad, even for an internet forum Q_Q

I can read. The original post suggests a weapon that would emulate the behavior of a shotgun.

I'm saying I can actually build a shotgun.

so you can built a weapon that fires multiple projectiles within seconds of each other and after firing have a cooldown then be able to fire again?

Doubt it.

I'm serious when I say I built it and it was tested.
I was a Disco dev back then. The weapon was supposed to be the Buccaneer response to SNAC. It was tested by the Dev team, but then the Buccaneers died, so nothing came from it.

@Xalrok: Thanks for saving me the effort of repeating myself. Some people probably don't know what a shotgun is.

I can attest to Marvin's seriousness. I was the Buccaneer's leader, and he was teaching me to mod weapons in the process of making those guns.

We had private server testing and everything. It was a beautiful SNAC alternative. It had an unfortunate habit of instakilling enemies in small ships if the circumstances were just right. Basically, the angle of the two ships, and exactly where the projectiles went after firing made a difference, and the dispersion was completely random. You could also manage to miss an enemy completely from close range thanks to the dispersion.

It would've been a terror to fight against, even though it's useful range was far below that of the SNAC for the same damage. A lot of fun, even if it'll never see Disco.
