It is a very good point Havoc, most of the mercs and elite forces I have seen use whatever weapons they prefere or they can get thier hands on.... well except french stuff. Only the Iraqis liked that before we got there.

The point is that it is true that a realistic BH is not going to be cracking open the crate to a shiny new Lib turret. It is most likely going to be some poor pockmarked gun being salvaged for it's third time floating in space.

Technically, all bounty hunters (at least the NPC's) used to be criminals. which is probably why they have criminal weapons and technology, and the fact they know where jump holes are. I found this out from a rumor in-game.
