Fletch the problem with this type of testing is that when you do this with, say, administrative members, who are in the office all day. Rather then combat arms members who are running the O-course or trudging through the woods with pack and rifle all day, you end up sustaining a higher number of injuries in the administration/non-combat arms fields.
Another good example is the Air side of the services (which all branches of the US forces have). They work 12-16 hours 5-7 days a week simply to keep the aircraft flying (as aircraft get older, their flight/manhour ratio continues to go up.. Getting the time to PT normally is at times rough.. let alone trying to set up O-course runs 2-3x a week...
It will be interesting to see how it works out in the long run for them doing this.
