All right, since a couple of weeks my chat window is quiet to the point that it almost gets freaky.

Did something happen to the Death messages? Normally i would see a death message each 30 - 60 seconds or so, but now i only see the ones in my system.

Has this been a modification the server? Or is my Freelancer messed up?

P.S. i hope this has not been asked by someone else, or i'll look like a turd.

Well, I don't have that problem. I assume ya made the command which sets your death messages to system only.

The specific command ya most likely used is:

Quote:set diemsg <param> Allows you to reduce showing death messages

Options <param>:

* all - all death messages are displayed
* system - only death messages in the current system are displayed
* self - only death messages related to your characters are displayed
* none - no death messages

Example: /set diemsg system

This is the only explanation I have for ya.

That might very well be the problem....

I'll check it out.

Thanks for the tip!
