Merc ID's would work best guys. You can't do what you're doing under the BAF tag...it doesn't allow for it. As long as you keep the tag you should be okay. A lot of faction sub-groups use the Merc ID. That's your safest bet.

Originally, I had an idea for the QCP getting tagged BAF and carrying a pirate ID, but dunno.

Another noob post , but the idea of the QCP has appealed to me from my first scan through the Factions forum., so I have to throw my two doubloons worth in the ring .
If QCP runs on a privateer basis , attacking Kusari and Kusari supporting shipping ( which could be practically anyone trading in Kusari space, you are feeding their economy , no ?) , and Bretonia and Kusari are at war ( or disagreeing territorially as we like call it !) , then those merchants in Kusari space are in fact legitimate military targets .

( Whew ....he gasps , wiping sweat from his overtaxed forehead !)

Hope that adds something to the debate , but to be honest , I'm still real new and pretty hazy on the whole ID/tag thing !

I know very well that, Adrian hates the Merc ID as I do..

But, well.. Should respect that if so.. And merc ID would be better than using the pirate ID which doesn't allow to participate in operations on the lawful side.

Yeah, I know, don't worry, I agree. Your points were 100% correct. However, it appears that the grammatical error in the Mercenary ID may allow us some leeway, although I really don't like taking advantage of that.

I'm going to wait for more input before coming to a final decision, though. We will stick with BAF ID until then.

So given that 2 admin have commented on this thread do I conclude that they will sanction the BAF-IFF, Merc ID combo to pirate Kusari ships?

We are setting precident here. We cannot get workable rules by exception.

Some people will start screaming rule-vioation. Others will site it as evidence when someone complains about their Order tagged, BH gunboat, with a IMG ID and Outcast guns.

I don't think any of them work in the current Disco without a proper rule change. We have a can of worms here folks.
