Yes I know there is already a thread with lots of stuff which could fit in here as well.
Yes this thread is to find out what can be done better.
Yes I started this cause I agree in some points with the stuff in Jack Aubreys thread.

No I did not ask the other Order| Admirals if they like to have such a thread.

This is just the first "round" of this.
ONLY! Order INDIES for now.

This is to figure out what are OUR (prim and sec) problems.

Flame and offensive stuff will be ignored.

Also I dun have a problem to call moderators/admins to punish you if you do so.

How long you are order Indie?
Must've been some time around February to June 2009, shortly after I joined Discovery. I've still got my Sekhmet, and I had an Osiris until this afternoon when I flew it to Gamma to make it a Corsair instead.

Did you ever thought about joining the official faction?
Yes. I did IIRC. Then I went inactive and left.

Did you ever join a unofficial order faction?
No.

Must've been one of those massive events we used to have with BHG.

List some BAD experiences you had while playing? (with Order|, other indies, enemies)
There was an incident with a TOP player a while back, I don't remember the details.

What do you think can be done better by the Order|?
Less bias/selfishness against indies (in caps or otherwise) in general because some/most of them misbehave. Try to get RP out of Minor.

Please don't try to make me try to say the indies are a group.

My thoughts:

Ok, I joined,March 09 when SwissScorch was here. FL Died, then I returned in July.

Finallu, after two applications, I was accepted OORP under a deal Tommeh gave me.

ATG. But I left. When Dangen was a,Commodore.

Good experiences?
Most where...an event with Tommeh and two others.
SwissScorch and the Khonshu helping me rep.
Some anti-BHG Fights.
All really ended with Ophi and,Birdy stepping down.

Bad?
Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Jessica Scarlet, me, Vape arguing.
Thats it.

How long you are order Indie? It's been a few weeks now, maybe a month, can't say.


Did you ever thought about joining the official faction? Nah, I already have enough official factions.


Did you ever join a unofficial order faction? Yes, do I need to name it? :unsure: Fine, but only because it slowly died and Jeremy knows the truth! :crazy:OSS| (Order Scout/Strike Squadron)


List some GOOD experiences you had while playing? (with Order|, other indies, enemies) We managed to get a nice event with the SCRA| as part of their current roleplay civil war. Had a random brawl with Sails because they decided to use force to kick us out of "their" Omega-49, was fun!


List some BAD experiences you had while playing? (with Order|, other indies, enemies) I got stereotyped about hugging Isis.

What do you think can be done better by the Order|? Offer indies a chance to participate in your secret missions, assassinations against <strike>American</strike> Libertonian presidents, walks in the sunset.


What do you think can be done better by the Indies? Less hugging of Isis so my poor Order Agent won't be stereotyped. Less capitals, like all indie factions? That can never be done, but I like to dream, plus the Osiris is awesome, or so I've been told. I'm a crappy Capital Ship pilot.


Any other stuff/ideas you have: Hm... It'll be interesting if you try telling Order indie captains about the areas they should patrol and the dangers they should look for. After all, knowing your roleplay is half the job you need to do. :cool: Also interesting RP is always appreciated - that goes for both Order| and indies. Just because you're not official/leader doesn't mean you can't do something special.

Sorry, wont use your Template because in my view there are only 3(²) points to improve.

1) Constant ganking³ of Liberty and BHG Forces in Minor.

1.1)Liberty and BHG seem to love to invading Minor, usualy taking limited (recruits/small numbers) Order forces of by surprise.

1.2) Surrounding very very much to Attackers favor, because masses of NPC (BHG/LN) are on theyr side, CD`ing only the homeforces. Same with Wild/Nomads basicaly tho they are cool, not picking nice moments/situations on a dayly basis like BHG or even BHG/LN working together.

1.3) We have 5(!!!!!) unguarded Jumpholes in Minor (Alaska, Delta, O92, 0100, Major). Not one is guarded inside. Only one (Delta) is (very weak) guarded by some weaponplatforms on the other side.

2) Rules/settings that forbid/prevent turning the tables.

2.1) We may not go to/invade/retaliate New York/Liberty house (is Order High Command corrupted by liberty politics?).

2.2) We have no forward Base near BHG territory; we never even try to show ganking³ BHG how it feels to have to defend a home and its Recruits constantly 24/7 against ganking.

2.3) see 1.3

3) Our Guardsystem O100 is a joke compared to the hostility of other Guardsystems towards "unwanted visitors"!

3.1) We have to guard that on Top of the unfair situation in Minor.

We are the Tiger in the box, all sides open, constantly pestered by "unfriendliest visitors" that poke us with theyr sticks tru our very own fences, preferably in the meanest way (to extend this picture) when we are asleep. We set ourselves up to be victim and we do nothing about it that is worth mentioning.

joined an indie group (like 8 ppl) and went for iota-99 just to notice that no one was there. Sounds strange but i liked it.

edit: and all IBS related stuff of course. flawless.

each time i return from alaska and an Order| is on i get the full annoying list of things i just did wrong.

some could improve regarding the help of newcomers. If someone clearly states that he wants to become an order agent...he sometimes get shot or ignored by indies. not the nice way really. Just help him doing some mission or at least tell him how to.

don't buy a fighter / bomber if you really want to help. Buy this bigger fighter thing there...ehm...osiris its called i think.

Shooting nomads and TF7. Also flying around and claiming efverybody with nomad weapons and such infected.

Grinding guard rep. Flying around omicrons with nothing to do.
