Server stability

I think I've squashed the last major reliability bug. I will be monitoring the situation over the next 48 hours.

Assuming the server stops crashing, I'll be deploying a mining update and getting back to work on fun new enhancements.

I am tracking some server lag information and hope to provide this on the forum in real-time along with other interesting metrics.
