Multiverse theory. He didn't jump back in time in his timeline, rather, a parallel timeline in a seperate universe. Therefore, killing his ancestors doesn't affect his own line, rather, the timeline of his alternate self, and this also means the GRN doesn't have to lose. May have lost in HIS timeline, however, nobody knows in this reality.
