Alternatively, open up the game's ini file for the specific system and read out the position of the base. You can use the game's /pos command to get your currrent position in X, Y, Z coordinates. Z is up/down the map, Y is left/right on the map and Z is up/down the plane.
By reading out the ini you can find the position of any object in-game, not just bases. Useful for hard to find wrecks.
