That entirely depends on your setup. Can you post a picture? And did you plug in the 4 pinned cable near the CPU Socket?

SOme motherboards have an 8pin slot near the CPU, PSU's usually have a double 4pin for that. You don't have to plug every avaiable cable in. For the motherboard, its the huge plug, and the 4pin or 8pin. For the GPU, a 6pin is optional 2x 6 pin if yo have a really powerhungry one.

In order to give you the CORRECT information, we really, really need to know a few things.

The things are;

Type of motherboard!
Type of video card.

As far as things like HDD, DVD burner/players and similar go, one power cable and one data cable for each unit.

Personally, your best bet would be to get a professional to sort it out.
Sure it will cost you money, but if they mess it up, they get to fix it, normally free of charge.

If you do it yourself and mess it up, it's going to cost you more than you might be able to afford.

Anyhow, yeah, we need to know what type of motherboard you have!

Agreed with Mickk. Pics are best, otherwise power supply, motherboard, and component specifications.

The biggest connecter always goes to the motherboard though; that's a given.
