Why don't have all guard bases cerberus turrets, like mito? The NPC's are worthless when capships are entering Omega-54 for example and the station can't even hurt fighters...Every guard base (yes, braunschweig or other military systems should have them on their BS and the station...) should have them, slow firing, but they should have them. Putting some Guard NPC's with small capships (like LR GB's in the LR system for example..) would help too, there shouldn't be 20 gunbounds when hostile players are entering, but there should be some of them.
Well... maybe not Cerbs - they are too specific. Instead I'd just upgrade the normal base turrets accordingly - to match the currently-used fighters. Nothing as uber as the large station turrest (see Moterrey fortress in Vespucci), cuz I'd reserve those for guard bases, but something /about/ half that. Shot F/X - depending on faction. Green for Rheinland, blue for Liberty, white for civilians, red for corsairs, Jade for Outcasts etc...
Make Rapid fires turrets fireing Shots that make ships bounce around that way people would think twice before attacking infront of a base of planet ring..because hosnetly im getting sick of players abuseing the totally ridiculous turrets at the moment...and the only places wher the freaking police do their job is new york and new london

I mean, most of the capships I encounter have these damned green rheinland lasers, especially bounty hunters and liberty.
Can we make other super cap turets that looks more neutral than Rheinlander?
