_"You can see the trail through the visor, just tell me where to fly" she said a bit amused. Only having one proper flying helmet in the ship. _"Tehe...okay!" She put on the helmet as Carrie reached back the helmet, opening the visor again. _"So...uh..signals coming from...there!" She pointed directly into space in a 45 degrees angle to Carrie. _"Grid says...uh...x 24, y -8 and z 50..." _"Alright" she said, steering the ship towards the heading she had given, scanning the space with her eyes to see if she could see a wreckage _"Must be there somewhere! Isn't that..." She stared at something in space, seemingly she found something. She pointed into the direction of what she saw. _"There! That looks promising!" _"Hmmm.." she hummed slowly seeing a small something but not able to make out what it was yet.
Christina beamed, thinking it would be her lost ship. _"We're slowly getting into scanner range!" _"I think it's your lucky day" Carrie said with a small cheer in her voice as they approached their target _"Woooh! Awesome!" She grinned and focused more on the object in space. _"It's the Onuris?!" _"Let's hope it's still fixable." she grinned lightly, steering the ship closer to it _"Everything is fixable!" She said with in a cheerful tone, being very sure it's her Onuris.
She got closer to it, the wreck being only some meters away now. The damage that could be seen now with their own eyes. _"Guess I'll get the tractor beam ready and tow it back to your shop?" Carrie asked.
She just nodded and stared at her ship. _"Aaaw...it's hurted badly...but no problem!" She said, beaming, keeping the focus on the ship. _"Trip back will take a while longer with it in tow, if you want to sleep some?" Carrie offered holding her hand back again to ask for the helmet. Thinking Christina could use some sleep. _"Hmm..ye...maybe." She took off the helmet and reached it back to Carrie, leaning back in her seat, sighing happily. _"Well...not much that can go wrong much by now...mhm.." She then closed her eyes, trying to find a more comfortable position while resting. _"I'll fly carefully." Carrie said in a smile, puttin on her helmet again just to have a better overview of everything while flying. Making sure the ships of Christina was coming after them and held secure by the tractor beam. _"Thanks.." She said softly, smiling cheerfully. _"You'll make it. I owe you a lot..." _"Get some sleep" she said quietly already flying her way back to the gate that was just a small spot several k's away.
Christina closed her eyes, the smirk still on her face. It didn't take long until she fell asleep, half-sitting, half-lying on the chair.
It took Carrie a while to get the ship back on the planet having been careful about the flying. And tired herself from the events. Glad she had both ships safe on the ground near the shop. Quietly putting her helmet off, wondering if Christina would wake up from herself when she turned the engines off.
Christina didn't notice much of the flight. Sometimes she woke up for a few seconds, but then fell asleep again. When they landed on the planet, she was still being asleep, mumbling things sometimes, as if she would be dreaming something. Though, she slowly woke up. _"Mmmhh...are we..." She yawned. _"..are we back..?" _"We are." Carrie said simple, pushing a button to have the cockpit open slowly.
She rubbed her eyes, looking around, briefly shivering and the colder air of the planet. _"Uh...how long did we need, huh?" _"Couple of hours" she said, it having been almost three before they had reached the planet. _"Ready to see your ship up close?" she asked.
It took her a while to wake up entirely, being a bit slow with thinking. _"Sure! Can't wait."
That said, Christina stood up from her seat, climbing out of the cockpit, slowly searching for the other ship.
Carrie followed her out, and moved behind her towards to other ship that was just behind hers.
Christina looked at the crippled Onuris, tilting her head, walking closer. _"Aaww...you're looking like you need a doctor!" She grinned and made her way to the cockpit, having a look into it, which seemed to be heavily damaged too. One wing had been ripped apart by the nuke explosions, the rest of the hull was critically damaged too. She pushed some buttons in the cockpit several times, waiting for a sound to emerge. _"Daaw...come on!" She pushed the button once more and the small screen in the cockpit flickered on.
A wide and cheerful grin appeared on her face as that happened, appearing way more confident about the repair right now. _"The computer is working! Hell yeah!" She then went back to the engine of the ship, inspecting the damage, that wasn't lower than on the other parts of the ship.
Carrie observed her and the ship from some distance, keeping her silence while she wondered if she should stay and help or head home.
Carrie could see Christina speaking with her ship several times, as if she would treat the Onuris like a friend she would know. Christina then went over to Carrie after she inspected the ship. _"I can't say how thankful I am. Thanks!" She gave her a hug, still grinning. _"I'll get this repaired in no time! Tehe." She said, looking back at the ship.
Carrie looked up when she received the hug, not having expected it, but neither resisting. _"I eh... hope you'll get it fixed soon ye..." she said slowly, thinking it would take herself weeks to accomplish something like that. _"You're a good friend! We need to fly more often together!" She smirked and nodded. _"And sure...I've seen worse on Rochester. No big deal, y'know?" She looked at Carries ship, then back at Carrie. _"You're gonna go back home, I guess?" _"Yeh... only took a few days off so." she said, meaning from the job planet side of Manhattan. _"We'll keep in touch, I hope? We really gotta do something like the last race again! Or so." Christina walked a bit towards her ship before turning towards Carrie again. _"I hope the GRN won't get angry at you...or so." _"Nah, don't think so. But no nukes next time?" she questioned. _"Indeed." She sighed, still feeling guilty about what happened. "No nukes. No need to let something like that happen again..." _"And don't forget to see a doctor soon again to have those bandages replaced." she said in some concern.
She waved her hand in an easy way, as if wanting to tell her not worry. _"I won't die, y'know?" She then grinned. _"It's alright. No worries!" _"You got my number so... I guess we'll talk later?" she, said cautiously.
Christina nodded at her, smirking. _"We'll talk, ye. Thanks again for your help!" _"No problem. See you around then" she said a bit slowly, giving a light wave with her hand to say goodbye, taking a few steps back towards her ship, doing it slowly in case she had anything else to tell her. _"Also, check your bank account." She gave her a wave as well. _"Should be a bit more juicy now." Christina grinned and walked back to her ship. _"Whenever you need something, just call, ye?" She shouted after her from the distance, holding a thumb up. _"That's party money" she yelled back in a bit of a cheerful way. Thinking she could barely drain that much money herself. And not feeling like she earned it fairly either. Wanting to share it either way. Giving another wave. _"I'll call!" she said again with a loud voice as there was more distance between them.
After that she got back into her cockpit, closing it behind her and putting her helmet on. Giving another wave when she was all settled from out of her cockpit.
Christina also gave her another wave and went back to her ship, thinking of a way how to get it into the workshop. She also took her PDA and typed in a number, wanting to call Steve, knowing how things were going.
Carrie took off not long after. Glad she could leave Gallia again, but somewhere also wanting to stay. The same double feeling about having been in more exciting events, also looking forward to some quietness even though she had fun, yet not all of it was as fun as she hoped it would be.
