We fly scorpions because we like flying them.

We destroyed you because we're Nomads. Go read the Nomad Lore. We're the "angry emo" branch, but unlike normal we have powerful guns and no moral restriction to not use them.

We will kill you unless you give us a reason not to, either through offering us some interesting reason not to, or shooting better then us. We try to walk the line between "Not being dicks" and "Being the evil dicks that hate all of humanity and want to kill you all".

To be honest, I was looking forward to see what sort of interaction would I get out of the Wild/Aoi while they were grouped with nomads.
Tried bumping into you in Delta, but that didn't yield any results. Hoped to get the chance in New York today. Not much luck either.
If your enemy makes a rather crucial mistake to have a repair ship target you, then I am not exactly sure why didn't you take advantage of that situation. Better luck next time, I suppose.
