Remote research bases, such as kodiak, eureka, and munster, which I would be expecting to be paying to have scientists shipped out to them are somehow PRODUCING scientists and "selling" them cheaply, while planet cambridge, a whole planet that TRAINS scientists, is for some reason "buying" them!
Surly this should be switched around.

When have Disco trade routes ever been about logic?
I do agree with you, though. I think that routes involving Scientists, and some Spaceship Crew routes, too, are a tad illogical. But it's all about balance.
Scientist goes out from a major facility (usually a House Planet) to a remote research project.
That same scientist also returns.
Trouble is, the economy cannot handle such a beast - to make the runs seem more plausible in RP, there would have to be a human return commodity.
For example, a Scientist trading out to a remote base, could trade back as a Passenger. One could say their project is over, and they are effectively passengers until they get home.
i agree with everying here if we can change it to be more logical we should but whit the new
- Player constructed and controlled bases
- Player controlled commodity and equipment dealers
who's to say what changes to these types of things are already planed

If it was the other way around someone would make a thread complaining that they couldn't transport scientists from remote research bases back to research "hubs" like they can now.
Remote research institutes are not going to be manufacturing centers producing commodities. Scientists is the one thing they can "produce" that can be taken from them to elsewhere after making a delivery to them.

Sorry, you lost me at 'remote facilities in the middle of BFN can produce scientists'.
Also, if you switch it to the way it /should/ be, people will find something to complain about anyways. Remember, this is Discovery.
