Today, there was panic in the Newcastle system amid a series of mysterious and bemusing events. Early this morning, the septic tank of Scarborough Shipyard vanished, forcing station authorities to temporarily shut down all lavatory amenities. The tank was later discovered anchored to the Shipyard's superstructure, empty. Alarm bells were raised, and BPA counter-terror officers flocked to the scene to check for sabotage or misconduct. Upon completing an emergency system roll-call, two Bowex ships and several employees were discovered to be missing. The corporation's ExSec department was put on high alert and told to watch for them, in case they had encountered hostile agents.
Three hours later, the errant ships and crew reappeared, with a stunning and unbelievable tale. They had emptied the septic tank without permission, filling cargo containers with the excrement, then loading it into their ships. From there, they disappeared into the Taus, eventually vanishing from the MacDuff's sensors on a heading towards Tau 23. From there, the duo of captains - believed to be at the helms of a Clydesdale freighter and Stork advanced train - infiltrated Kusari core systems and proceeded towards the Sigmas. Using what they evasively labelled 'back roads', they dodged Kusari and pirate patrols, eventually breaking through to the GMG's sovereign territory.
From there, they set their eyes upon the Munich system; the destination of their fateful mission. Continuing to add to their espionage credentials, they reached Planet Nuremberg's atmosphere, and began to jettison their repugnant freight. After dropping 5,560 tons of human waste into the Rheinland planet's orbit, the duo were chased away by a newly arrived cruiser patrol. Escaping safely, they returned to Bretonia via a different route. We secured an interview with the convoy leader in question, who stated, "Rheinland started a dirty war with the great House of Bretonia... Bowex just made it dirtier".
An anonymous source within the Foreign Office has already decried the pair as "juvenile delinquents who took extreme risks with their lives and their company's property". We have been unable to secure an official stance, due to the fact the Minister burst into laughter and hung up whenever we queried him on the matter. Regardless, it seems that whatever the result of this border conflict... Rheinland won't be coming out of it smelling of roses.
Gerard Stein, a local independent reporter, has the following story from the planet surface:
Local inhabitants of the planet seem thus far unimpressed with the unexpected arrival of several metric tons of human waste. Here's what a few of them had to say:
(Hendrik Ross, Daumann foreman, industrial complex 217): "A waste of good nutrients. Had they brought it to Holstein instead, we might have even given them a few credits for their effort. This will not affect production levels in my district at all."
(Jan Merrich, ALG worker, planetary recycling center 23): "ALG hasn't been asked to clean this up. There's no point. One rainshower and it'll all wash away. At most we'll need to mow the grass a bit sooner, with all this fertilizer it'll grow like no tomorrow."
(Derek der Zeit, Republican Shipping dockworker, orbital receiving center 2): "We always knew the Bretonians were full of crap. That is all I'll say on the matter."
With the conflict in the Omega systems seemingly not slowing down at all, this reporter has to ask: If this is the worst Bretonia can do to Rheinland, how much time is left, before the flags of Rheinland and Kusari fly over the parliament on New London itself?

Richard had been staring at the comms screen for several minutes now. The program about the rather smelly cargo deleivered to Nuremberg had ended several minutes ago, but Richard still stood their, stairing at the screen, speechless.
*Well,* He thought to himself, *Now I've seen everything...*
Shunkaha Wanagi strode into his ready room on his freighter, "Holovid on, channel BBC News" he said as he took off his jacket. "And in today's headline news, it appears that visitors to Planet Nuremberg will be need of chemical mask re-breathers when they depart off the transports due to the massive amount of human toxic waste that was illigally dumped inside the planets atmosphere early this morning."
Shunkaha stopped and thought "Well I always thought they were full of ......" and began to smile and chuckle as he laid down to watch the full story.
