Bonjour, mes amis! I am Sébastianne Ludovic, and my partner Lilienne and I own the freighter [color=#6633FF]Rosemonde. We are contacting you to request permission to enter Libertonian space, to trade goods which cannot be obtained in Sirius from Gallia to Liberty. We were informed earlier this morning by one David Hale, an officer of the Liberty Navy, that we were apparently not permitted within Liberty space.
Now, I have poured over your laws and I cannot find a single clause which states that civilian Gallic vessels are prohibited from entering Liberty space. Of course, I quickly saw and recognized the clause which stipulated that vessels produced by the Gallic Royal Navy are illegal in Liberty, however, the Rosemonde is not a Gallic Navy vessel, but rather an Aurochs-class freighter, which is a common and cheap civilian vessel that has been common in Gallia since it was first released, and, in fact, is becoming increasingly common in the Taus, being employed by corporations such as the Gallic Metal Service and Ill-de-France Shipping.

We were told that, though, indeed, it is not a Navy vessel, after having pointed this out to the pilot in question, that as we were mounting Musketoon cannons and turreted versions of the same onboard our ship, we were prohibited entry from Liberty.
Firstly, the Musketoon series is sold on civilian bases, making it a civilian piece of equipment. Secondly, the laws of Liberty specifically state that all forms of weaponry are permitted in Liberty, with the exception of multiple "Kraken" or "Wyrm" class Outcast guns when mounted on a "Sabre Very Heavy Fighter". Regardless of whether or not the weaponry in question was produced by the GRN, it should not have been sufficient reason to deny us access to Liberty.

Regardless of these circumstances, Lilienne and I have talked it over, and we are more than willing to pay some sort of registration fee or even donate our weaponry to Liberty for research if need be '€” provided adequate replacement, of course '€” as we have heard tales of Liberty as the "land of opportunity" even in Gallia.
So, it comes down to this '€” what can we do to get access to Liberty?

Sébastienne Ludovic;

First of all, your interpretation of the law is more correct than what you claim the Fleet Admiral's to be. Despite the fact that he's my superior, I'll definitely take the time to remind him of which law he should quote in the future.

As it stands however, the only organisation from Gallia currently permitted in Liberty is the Gallic Council. This stipulation can be found in the "notes" section of the law.

' Wrote:'€¢ The house of Liberty has welcomed incoming commercial shipping from the Gallic Council. As such, ships belonging to the Gallic Council are free to trade and escort within the borders of the house of Liberty. They are also entitled to the protection provided by the Liberty forces during their stay. Other Gallic factions, due to repeated hostile encounters, are not welcome. This includes Ile-de-France shipping, the Brigands and so on. Only the Council is permitted hospitality within Liberty.

This part of the law has existed in some form or another since the Gallia first revealed itself to the rest of Sirius. In addition, the Gallic Council was the only group which approached us in a friendly manner.

I'm genuinely very sorry that this is the case, but until we know more about such a large unknown, the entire house is better off being safe than sorry.

Hale here.

Appologies for me being a little brisk, however I'd just spent the previous quarter of an hour getting shot at. It tends to push your patience a little...

Mr Ludovic, I wish to thank you for being both polite and compliant. Your case will be reviewed, given you are not tied to any particular gallic group. While we do not allow the vast majority of Gallic organisations into liberty, we also would be interested in making some contact with more ordinary Gallic citizens.

I'm sure you can appreciate our reasons for eying your vessel with a degree of suspicion.

Hale out.

Bonjour, once again. I thank you for your prompt reply, and I do hope that you find us trustworthy enough to be permitted into Liberty. I fully understand your suspicions regarding Gallia, and rumor has it that your suspicions are justified... but zat is not my place to say.
I thank you for your kindness in this matter, and we will patiently await a response.

Bonsoir, monsieurs et madamoiselles.
This is Lilienna Comtois-Denis, Sebastienne's partner and copilot. We do so hate to appear impatient, but we wish to inquire as to the status of our case, as it was described.

We are very eager to begin shipping Gallic goods to Liberty, and to see all the magnifique sights of Sirius, as I am sure that you can understand.
I am not sure if Sebastienne stated zis earlier or not, but, we are more than willing to provide information regarding the Gallic Royal Navy to Liberty if it will speed the process along at all.

Given their recent declaration of hostilities towards Sirians, we hope that such an offer will be seen to be as valuable as we believe that it is.
À bientôt, mes Libertonian amis!

Sébastienne Ludovic;

I've been authorised to grant you the right to visit Liberty at your discretion by Fleet Admiral Hale. I don't know how he intends to stem the influx of requests of a similar nature to yours, but I suppose we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

We do however, have one condition. We hear that Gallia produces many products, and while I'm not really familiar with their point of origin within your house, I know they do come from there. Because of this, we would like you to bring the following to the Republic:

'€¢ 50 Gallic-made Military Vehicles - Battleship Concorde, New Hampshire
'€¢ 400 units of Cryocubes - Planet Erie, Pennsylvania
'€¢ 400 units of Prometheum - Willard Research Station, California
'€¢ 400 units of Bio-Neural Processors - Hamilton Station, Ontario

Please note that, as Willard is a station conducting all manner of experiments based on obscure physical and natural laws, that you will most likely be confined to the landing bay during your stay there. This is purely a security precaution, and applies to domestic visitors as well.

Accept this, and once those small obligations are fulfilled, you can do trade to your hearts content in other legal goods. Please provide evidence here of your deliveries.
