Sorry to trouble you at such a busy time, what with splitting from the Liberty Navy and all, I'm sure the paperwork is atrocious. Firstly, have you heard from Commander Marco lately? I have been trying to contact him to no avail.
Secondly... well I have a bit of a favour to ask. Due to the heavy use of my HUD-glasses, hmm that wouldn't mean anything to you would it? I will try to explain, when turned on the the glasses display a Heads Up Display (HUD) on to the eyes of the wearer. To the wearer it appears as if the HUD is floating in midair in front of them. By reaching out and physically "touching" the HUD a person can interact with it. There is also a mental component to controling it but that is far less prominent.
The glasses are incredibly useful, they can instantly interface with most systems and I have used this feature
to great effect when on research missions, for instance during the research into the Alien Lanes we came under heavy fire from Nomads. I interfaced with the Prometheus' systems and redirected shield power to protect specific areas of the ship, leaving others vulnerable but blocking the bulk of the fire completly.
The glasses have a number of other useful functions but that's not really the point of this transmission, the glasses project the HUD onto the wearer's eyes. Over time this will blind the wearer, this is what is happening to me. I had originly estimated a little over a year until I was completly blind, however I now believe that it is a matter of weeks at my current rate of usage. I'm trapped in a cycle you see, in order to see now i need to use the glasses to display the view in front of me onto the HUD which in turn destroyed my eyesight further.
So, I would like to ask your help, could you spare a doctor to examine me? My head of medicine has tried and failed to reverse or at least stop the decay of my vision but has had no success, it is not often that she comes across something she can not cure. Hopefully your doctor will find something she missed, I cannot afford to go blind now when there is so much work to be done.
I am very sorry to hear about your condition.
I'm no scientist nor doctor so I can't really tell you anything specific.
I think it would be best if Commander Marco examined you... unfortunately, I havn't heard from him for a while...
He has that bad habit of dissapearing for few days when he finds something interesting in space... but I am starting to get a bit worried about him.
Anyway - even if Commander Marco can't find any solution or treatment that would save your natural sight, we can always try latest cybernetic eyes. I think Commander Lelouch has one of them installed. I'll ask her.
Although, if you feel that you should be examined as soon as possible, I'll ask one of Marco's subordinates to examine your eyes.
Apologies for the late reply, I seem to have dozed off. I will wait a bit longer for Commander Marco, I could kill two birds with one stone that way. I can't wait an exceedingly long time however as my sight gets worse every day.
Also, I had not considered cybernetics, while I would prefer to keep my natural eyes it becomes increasingly unlikely that I will be able to. The cybernetics would hopefully fix my sight and on top of that would not be damaged by the glasses. Could you please ask Commander Lelouch if there are any... disadvantages... to the cybernetic eyes?
I have just recieved some news from Commander Marco. Unfortunately, he got stuck in some remote system and he will be unable to arrive to Ames at least next 24 hours.
I have also spoke to one of Marco's assistants and it seem that he would be able to examine your eyes.
He also told me that it would be great if you took a look at our current research... From what I understand, It's a nomad infested man...
Please, let me know if you're interested so I could give him permissions to join this channel and give you some more details.
I am by no means a Biologist, though I have some experience with the organic engineering found in some Daam K'Vosh and Nomad technology. I don't think that I could be of that much assistance regarding the infested man when compared to a specialized Biologist. However if you still want me, I have an abundance of time on my hands until the Graf Zeppelin is fully operational, and I would be only too happy to help. It's the least I can do considering what your organisation has done for me.
Also, thankyou for finding out where Commander Marco is, and thankyou again for talking to his assitant about my eyes.
Hello, My name is Dawn, im Commander Marco's Assistant as I hope Commander O'Neal said, come into the Corona Battlegroup's Section of Ames at the entrance around Ten O' Clock, and ask the secretary, if you would turn up then im sure I could take a look at your eyes, hopefully we could manage to sort out your eyes to some extent.
A video message in an awful quality comes in. In the background you can hear alarm signals.
"The jumphole is collapsing! or gods sake we're through it!...Good work, guys."
Then Bennet Marco turns around, watching into the camera.
"Phew, greetings Mister Denton,
sorry for the...complication, long story little sense, we used a jumphole to a yet unknown system. But on the other side we found a black hole which made the instable jumphole collapsing. It took us some time to find a jumphole back, but luckily the Atlantis is a ship full of scientists. As I see you need our help, and we need yours. I will try to assist Ms. Stewart as soon as I arrive at Ames. I look forward to meet you in person.
Greetings!
Squished bigly ~Champ- Thanks, you're a champ. "What's the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
